Hasta Luego semana!!
Alright so this week went by at a farly normal speed.. the beginning was really slow and we could not find anyone in their houses. it was really boring and there was nothing we could do. so that was a little bit discouraging. if you asked me i would have say i was a little bit down because we were working hard with little to no success. but then in the end of the week all of the people were in their houses and were ready to receive our awesome message that we wanted to teach them. so really it is like the story a tale of two... i don't remember the title but i think it exists.. but it was two completely different weeks.. so all in all the week was pretty solid and we were working hard trying to find some new people. i ain't complaining because i know that the area will rebound. we were actually working more with the members because our investigators were bailing.. And then i think i had one of my favorite moments in the mission when we went to visit an hermana that lives basically at the top of the mountain that is in my area. we went all the way up there because she said that she wouldn't mind if we went to visit her. so we went up there and we were talking to her for about an hour and a half. when we got there she was so happy to see us that she just started crying, and i kinda realized that we as missionaries in the world have reputations of being awesome. the people know that we have the spirit with us at all times and so they just want to be around us so that they can feel that spirit. it is really confusing to explain but we have just a power as we talk to the members that they just want to learn more and be better down here in peru. i love it because it makes me want to be the best that i can be. so i know this isn't my longest letter but i just want to say that when we have nothing to do it is always good to study the scriptures and just try to understand more what they teach us.. i love this gospel and i don't want to be anywhere but here. i don't know what i would be doing at home and that is ok with me because that means i don't think about it too much these days.. i love you all so much and i know this church is true. in the mission you see experiences that change you and make you stronger as a person and member of the church.. i love you all so much and hope you have another great week this week..

2 Baptisms.

Alrighty then family!!!
Ok so just so you know this week-- yes-- went by really fast.. And I just want to say happy late fathers day to my papa. i want him to know that i love him so much and everything that he does for me. he is just always willing to help me in my life.. He even gave me my car when i turned sixteen.. sure the car had 23 years, but it is still the best car in the world. i don't even remember him giving me the keys to it but it is all good and i hope you downed a diet coke just for me pa.. and hope you have an awesome week.. Alright in other news this week we had our two baptisms on saturday night and all went perfectly. i baptized victoria and then my companion baptized juana.. it was really cool and all went well. They were both really happy. i think hna juana a little bit more because she has been ready for so much more time. she has just been trying to get married and she finally got that done on friday; and was totally ready to be baptized on saturday.. Alright so on that note the wedding for hna juana was just chill it was me and my companion and her family and our pensionista.. it was awesome.. we just went in and this guy said some stuff and then they signed about 5 papers and they were married. it was sweet! we had a bunch of pictures from that but unfortunately i don't have a camera so none were with my camera.. sorry..... haha anyway other news this week is that we had changes and i didn't get changed and neither did my companion. so that means we have another six weeks together and for those of you that care the next change is august 1. yes that means i will be in my area for my birthday. can everybody just say awesome for me.. So this week we taught a good 27 lessons. i love my area for the lessons and the people, but a lot of those lessons were preparing the people for baptisms. also this week we found 2 more new investigators that we are pretty excited to be teaching. come to find out one of them, her dad has been a member since he was a kid, but he has been inactive forever. so we might get to activate him and baptize his family. that is the dream for us so far and she has all these questions about prayer. why cant we ask what we want to in prayers. there is only the one prayer with oh my father..... well we told her how to really pray and we have a lesson with her today to see how she feels about it.. anyway that is this week and sorry if this is all over the place. i am just thinking of everything really fast and then typing it.. so i just want to say this church is true and that if you pray, read, and study we will know how we can help the church grow and how we can be of service.. I love you all so much and i am so happy for my friend ryan that he put in his papers and i cant wait to here where he is called too.. who knows maybe peru lima south..

Que pasa familia!!
Alright so another week down of course.. i have no idea how many weeks it is but it is more than nate and less than justin.. haha.. Ok so this week was kinda really cool we went and talked to hna juana and had her baptismal interview and she just shot all the questions out of the air. because as i have been saying to all of our leaders the last 8 weeks is that she is a member and just needed to get married before baptism.. because she has been to the church every week for the last 14 weeks or something like that.. haha it is hilarious and so she knew all the stuff and she is totally ready to get married this week and then baptized. so that is my awesome story for this week. Also we have been finishing up with victoria. also we found out that we have permission for her baptism and then we also found out that her aunt wants to listen to us now because she no longer has work. she has all this free time and she would like to listen to our message.so we were just like ok well how bout we give you a quick recap of what we teach and she was like ok.. so we told her our whole message and she was like ok ya i want to learn more. so it was one of the easiest new investigators i have found in the mission.. And also this week we were at the district meeting and received a reference in our area from california. i was like shoot this is a reference from my hood and we gotta go contact them.. so we called her up that night and she was like ya come by the house tomorrow if you want. we went and her name is noemi... and she was awesome and asked how did you find me? we said your son sent the reference from the usa. she said ok then i should listen to what you have to say.. so we taught her and she was awesome. we went there again yesterday and she got her two daughters to listen too. so we found three more new investigators. then we finished off with another reference that was in the church this week and we will be visiting her tomorrow.. I love references.. they just make the missionary work so much more fun. really the fun part is teaching; the finding is the hard part that is used more when we cant teach. So really if you can think of anyone that would want to hear the gospel tell the missionaries to look them up.. people are so much more willing to accept if they hear that a friend has sent these people to visit. I now know how much of an effect the members play in this church.. we are examples to everyone but we are also called to serve in our home areas.. We are always missionaries it is just we dont have to leave all our family. as members in the house you just need to think and pray just like a missionary to find someone that wants the gospel in their lives.. this is the gospel and we should want the best for all of our friends and it is the best thing we have in our lives. so share it and help someone out.. I love you all so much and i know that i ramble on a lot but i am trying to keep you updated on all that i can.. Your favorite

How it be family!!
Alright family so this week elder serrano and I were rocking on as normal just teaching our investigators. the big news for the week is that one of our golden investigators couldn't get baptized because she isn't married now has her wedding day set for the 17th, and we are planning her baptism for the 18th! so what up!! haha that is my awesome news for this week! now we have 2 people with baptisimal dates for the 18th. we are planning on putting dates on a few other people but we are working on planning ahead more so they aren't really all that close. our other golden investigator is progressing for her wedding also, but she still is missing a few things. but they are progressing and that is what is most important. in Surco i had investigators that were just like these two but they weren't trying to advance at all.. Also this week we got to go to the temple on Thursday, so that was really cool.. The temple is just like a quick charge and then it's time to go back out and work. Also this week i was studying in preach my gospel and i really love chapter six. i have read it a bunch of times, but this time i read it with my companion so that we could talk about each step and it was like we took an inventory, but it was just to learn and talk about how we could make our companionship better. Now i dont want to send the wrong idea because we get along really well, but it can always improve and that is what i mean, it only helps to know more about each other and learn about what might bother the other person. So this week was Kevin's birthday. i didnt get to go to church for his birthday, but I hope that it was still awesome for all of you at home. I hope that everyone is happy and livin la vida loca in the home front.. things are going on quick down here in peru and it even has something they call rain. i think it is more of a mist in the air but it feels good. everyone asks if i am cold and i just laugh... And last thing, last week i told you about the elections, well the guy won and so half the people say that the gringos are going bye bye and the other half say that he won't do that. so we will find out.. haha it is an entertaining thing to think about.. I know this church is true and i am happy that i have the opportunity to be serving in the mission field at the same time as almost all of my friends. I am thankful for the examples of all of my family and my brothers for serving missions, to motivate me to go.. i know my testimony has tripled in these seven months and it is continuing to grow.. I love you so much and hope you all have a great week.

Its Bigger Than you expected....

Its Bigger Than you expected....
Ha ha well this week was great it started off with the wedding of briandrea, and then after that i just rolled into the work week..We had 27 lessons this week so it was solid. almost all of them we had a member with us. And our investigators this week took some awesome advances,, hna victoria sure she is only 12 but she is really cool and she is going to get baptized here in june. it was going to be the 4th but then we learned there is no church on the 5th for elections of peru.. and as some of you know, thanks to beau, this is the second time in 2 months we have had elections.. this is the more important one. it is to decide between two people, keiko and ollanta.. what we here is that if ollanta wins he is going to send all of the americans out because he wants to take peru and redo all that it has... So we are all cheering for the china girl, keiko, to win...but the point of telling you that is that we have to push victoria's baptism back a little bit... So in other news we are still working with hna. amelia and hna juana to finish with their wedding so they can be baptized. but they are having their own problems with the soon to be husbands.. and then we have our new investigator hna dolly ... she is golden and we are also working to put a date for her to be baptized here in june also... so that is awesome.. Well this week was a normal awesome week teaching all that we could. I also noticed that a few times i wasnt even thinking a little bit about understanding the language, it was just happening.. i mean i can understand almost all of what people say but normally i have to pay attention and really be listening to what they are saying.. i dont know it sounds weird but i understood what they were saying without trying, and it was awesome.. I know this church is true and i am here to work as hard as i can for these two years so that i can come home and be happy.. I know that if i dont do all the work i can and find all the people that are prepared for me i will feel incomplete, and i will not do that. i will find all that i can and i know that my friends are all doing the best they can. they have helped me my whole life and we have always had the same goals and that is to win in all our activities. we arent out here to be loser missionaries.. I love this gospel and i am learning still how to be the best teacher i can be..
