Got Fedex Christmas package

Alriiiighty then!!!
So familia what is up from the tropical awesomeness of peru! So this week was ya another flier if you ask me. We got so much done this week it was great. no baptism but we are finally getting the ward to help us out and just doing the work that we can to get some new investigators. hopefully we will be able to meet with a bunch of new people this week! that would be awesome but we are working on reactivating the hermano that we live with and he has agreed to read the scriptures with us every night so we are trying to get places with that. Also we have been talking to a nice lady named hna maria and she has started with her wedding papers and all of that stuff so she can be baptized next month. we are really excited for that. i love it out here it isnt easy but i knew it wouldnt be. i have had numerous conversations now where i didnt have trouble understanding what people were saying. it is awesome when that happens because it has bothered me for months not knowing what people are saying, but now it comes down to getting the languange down and speaking it correctly back to them. i know that i can express myself when i want to but a lot of times it is incorrect spanish. they can understand which for me is the real point. we didnt have any crazy experiences this week but it was just cool. when we are working hard i can just tell that the spirit is here to help us.. Well we did have a really cool contact the other day, we were just walking and saw this lady sitting in the park with her baby and her little boy so we stopped to talk to her. she was really receptive and talked to us for an hour. then we said if you need any service we are glad to help. we said we paint and other stuff that she could need and she was like, "how much does it cost if i had you come paint my department?" she thought we were kidding when we said service is free, she said, "well i will be calling you and i want to hear more about what your message is too." so she said she would call today or we need to call her if she doesnt remember.. but it is awesome out here and i know the church is true. The mission has strengthened my testimony like crazy. and i know that all is well on the home front, because i know prayers get answered and i pray for safety and strength all the time for me and home.. love you tons your favorite elder farrmooreawesome

I love Christmas letters.. so this week was a really awesome week for the whole spanish thing. It started on tuesday when we were talking to hermana crisostomo and we were teaching their family, i had a totally new idea for my companion.. it was to have them teach us lesson two because they have all had the lessons like three times. so the little kids were teaching us the lesson and we were asking questions then out of the blue the mom says, “I was baptized when i was a baby in the catholic church”... and we had never heard this from her, she had never expressed anything like that. So that is one thing we practiced all the time in the mtc,. and the one thing they always said not to do was to directly harshly say your baptism was not real.. and what do you know that is exactly what my companion did. It was just plain crazy so after that all of a sudden i was speaking spanish explaining what my companion meant, trying not to offend her because her jaw dropped. i was asking her questions like why do you think your baptism wouldnt be real? and she was just like i dont know.. but she has had the lessons a good three times, so i asked her how Christ was baptized and she said by immersion and i said a whole bunch of other stuff in spanish and then finished with.. Do you believe Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. Yes. Do you believe the book of mormon is the word of God. Yes. Do you believe this church is true.yes.. and then she said but i liked my baptism and i think that it is real.. and i asked better questions during my spanish talking part but those were just yes/no at the very end.. because it is not normally good to ask yes no questions. but this week was really good in that sense.  we did not teach as many people as we would have liked, but we had good lessons when we did get to teach.

Also hermana maria told us she had a dream that she had to choose between two paths.. there was a hard path with rocks and hills and there was an easy path where she could just walk around this building and enter.. So in her dream she chose the hard path cause it looked more fun. so she went down this path and at the very end there was a large man and his name was monson... and he gave her a giant hug when she got to him. and it was crazy because she had no idea who the prophet was so that was kinda cool. so i asked her what she thinks the dream means or what she needs to do in her life and she said that she thinks it means she needs to choose to be baptized and i said ya that sounds like a good answer. but she needs to be married first and then she told us that she is going to make her husband marry her because the dream hit her like a bag of bricks. it was crazy, but the crazy part is that i understood it.
I really felt a jump in spanish this week and i know that the spirit is helping me out with that because all of a sudden i will know  a word and what people are saying like it is english. it is an incredible feeling and i love it here in Peru.. i would not want to be anywhere else in this world right now. I know that i have a true love and care for these people now. there are just people i look at and just want the best for, like when i think of emma and cam and trenton and brins. it really is a different feeling. i know this church is true and that missionaries are needed in this world even if they don't speak the language. as long as you have the spirit and want to try to help people. they will know that you cannot be a bad person and will let you in. I love it here. i would encourage anyone to serve a mission because this is real. it is real work and real life. i have never experienced the things and feelings i have had out here

Hola from somewhere warm...
Haha so the weather down here is incredibly warm and it is just really awesome in this area! I love our ward and our investigators. We have been teaching a lot but only a couple of families. we are working on teaching some more people. this week we found 103 future investigators but 90 percent of them are for other areas. our area is just where everybody works and then they go to other areas where they live, so that is kind of a bummer, but at least we are talking to a bunch of people. My spanish i feel took a crazy leap this week. I was understanding a ton but there are still those days that are just like what in the world is going on. It is pretty funny on those days, i think i laugh more those days cause i am just amazed at how i understand and then I don't understand. it is crazy! but in my opinion the spanish got a ton better so it was really good. Also another week down in a flash..people arent kidding. once you are out in the field time just flies. it has already been a month!! we have changes this week and i dont want a new companion.. ever since i started understanding more, things have been awesome with elder Tello. we can joke around now as we walk around which for me is good enough, right now, just so i know that i am happy and can be myself.

1st Baptism

Howdy Hoe Familia!!! Què Pasa!!

Alright family so this week started off pretty slow. we had our district meeting on tuesday, then we had zone training on wednesday and thursday that lasted all the morning until dinner so we didnt get much teaching in, so this letter could be pretty short. But this week we moved to a new apartment which just made me ridiculously happy!! it was great our new place is super cool and comfortable and also in our new place we have a cd player. so i have been listening to my one cd every day and that one cd is timmy. i hadnt listened to his whole cd before, i dont think, but it is really good. i love the 3rd song, the 4th and 5th but they are all good-- but i love all of those. it is really cool and any peruvian that hears it love it.. anyway so if you could send like three or four of his cds that would be cool so i could give one to my companion i dont know.. friday we finally got to work for a full day again and we had our interview with our little 8 year old that was getting baptized on saturday, then saturday the district leader intervied him and he said that he wanted me to baptize him and boy was that a shock.. so i had to study up the baptism prayer in spanish which was just difficult. so we went and did that on saturday, and it was awesome!!

it was his birthday on the 29 and he turned 8.. so he was baptized on his 8th birthday.. which just so happens to be the day after my half birthday. It was so cooll and the water was FREEZING.. he was shivering his little feet off. so i think i will send pictures of that next week but i am not sure. i dont know what happened but it was just a really fast week again like justin said, every week is over and writing again. so is has just been a really great experience and i know that this church is true. and this week my testimony of the book of mormon has grown 10 times from what it used to be at. i would recommend not kidding reading the book of mormon side by side with another language. just read it in english and then try to pick up the other language and what it says because you pay so much more attention to the words. it is crazy. I love it! but i have felt the spirit so much and i love it here and i know that this is where I am supposed to be in my life and i would not want to be anywhere else..
