the Earth quaked when Lucyann was born!!!

Sorry if i write a little bit slower today,,,
I MIGHT BE SUFFERING FROM POST EARTHQUAKE SYNDROME!!!!
haha so this week was pretty awesome.. but at the same time it was kinda interesting because we were rocking our area and yet all of our investigators told us they were busy right now and we cant really listen for now... so that was kinda lame! so we spent almost all of our week contacting new people.. And well after that one of the days we were just walking and as we past one of these houses i was just like ya we are going back to knock that door.. so we went back and knocked the door and this mom comes out. she said if you had knocked my door a few months ago i wouldnt have paid any attention, but my 12 yr old daughter recently passed away and so i am listening to all i can. It was a super testimony for me because in the minute i got the most awesome feeling to knock her door and so it was just really cool! because it had the Lords' hand and such an awesome experience. after that we had the chance to teach her and her family a little bit it was really cool, and i love having those experiences.. Oh and last night we got woken up to an earthquake that pulled a 6.2 on the scale thingy. so that was pretty sweet i was basically thrown from the top bunk of my bed and my companion was asleep. so i was up throwing on some clothes and i was like compañion, and he got up and put his clothes on and then we left the apartment for 2 hours.. it was sweet.. i mean that was totally wicked... that was for you kelli... and now on the list of things.. Happy Birthday new niece.. lucyann!!!! woohooooo.. bienvenidos al mundo.. and well after that daniel you lucky dog you, you will be able to speak spanish with nate justin and i.. but your spanish will sound funny.. haha and lastly happy birthday this week sister melanie miller!! hope you all have a great day and a more awesome week.. What it is Family!! What an awesome week!!
So Family it's good to know when there is something funny that happens in a week everyone writes me.. Haha this week went really well for those that want to know first things first.. My companions name is Elder Hernandez and he is from Guatemala and he is pretty cool. We had a pretty good time this week helping him get to know the people and the area just working in the area normal. The training thing is cool we just read and do what the little training book says. my companion is just wanting to learn and listen to what to do. It was really cool in some of the lessons because i felt like they were a lot more spirit guided and i have been concentrating a lot on teaching the people and not lessons. It was really fun because we went and found a new family to teach and we did something very different in our how to begin teaching.. we just kinda threw a whole bunch of the messages we had on the table and they were like stunned with the information we have. they had a whole bunch of super awesome questions. but we told them things like that is what we want to teach you but we cant teach it all in one lesson. so that was super awesome and it seemed to work very well. Also this week we were going to have a baptism for a family of 3 but we didn't feel like they were ready. so this week we are going to be concentrating on them so that they can feel prepared and take this step in their life. They are the Family Hernandez Apayco. they are really cool we are working with the whole family but the dad is normally working so we haven't been able to teach him much. the whole family has come to church 2 weeks straight. Also we are teaching another family, the family morales, they are really good and super poor so they are listening but dont understand it all, but have desires to be baptized. so all that is going well but my companion and I are really focusing on finding more new people to teach.
About the mugging... well it was just weird because they came out of nowhere. they just hit my companion in the back of the head, and then told us to get on the ground and well that was pretty crazy.. but the good news here is that they stole the three soles that I had and they didn’t steal the 13 or so soles my companion had, took my debit card, and then they stole stuff and searched my companions backpack and unfortunately stole his bible and hymnal. they didn’t search my backpack which I didn’t know at the time but it had my camera. So really we got off alright and well it was just a weird one-time thing from what I have experienced. I forgot to mention that this mugging took place in the middle of the main street in our area with a whole bunch of cars just driving past watching.. it was pretty hilarious because afterward a bunch of cars came up to us to ask if we were alright and said we wanted to help but they had a gun...
So well that was my week and it was really fun.. It threw a cool story into my mission and just so you know after i knew we were ok and my companion wasn't too hurt, i did start laughing and saying how ridiculous they must feel.. Anyway i hope you all know that i am fine and my companion is also no harm done. Well love you all tons and i know you and i will have awesome weeks..

In Lima for new comp!

What up homefront!!
So family this week was super awesome. my companion and i were in our area in ica and we were knocking on doors and talking to all of the people in the world and we were able to find some super awesome investigators that really just came out of the wood work.. and so we were walking one day and we saw a lady carrying her dog and her daughter was carrying an iv that was in the dogs paw and as we were walking past them i was like ya i want to talk to them just because it isnt every day that you see a dog with and iv.. so as i was talking to them we asked if they had talked to missionaries or seen missionaries before and the mom was like ya i talked to the missionaries a long time ago and i almost got baptized but my mom wouldnt let me at the time... so then she was like but i would really like if you could come and visit us so that i can know more and understand more of the plan of god.. so that was pretty awesome and it was one of my testimonies that the Lord really prepares people for us in any situation it just depends if we are able to recognize that it is some one that the lord has prepared. also this week we were able to talk a little bit with the bishop about making the ward work a little bit harder and a little bit more with us.. and then we ended up having 6 lessons with members and 5 others which was more lessons than in any of the other weeks. and then on saturday night we received our changes and my companion elder tani went to lima to be companions with his cousin who is finishing the mission here in two changes.. and then i found out my new companion doesnt exist yet.. so that is kinda cool i am here in lima and tomorrow we have training to train and then tomorrow night i believe i will be heading back down to ica.. but today i got here in my temporary area for the day and who else is here... Elder church!!! hahaha so i have been talking to him for a little while.. i havent seen him since who knows when so today has been a pretty solid day.. and well that was my week and we have really experienced so many blessings in my little humble area of fonavi because we now have 7 people with baptismal dates and 3 of them are for this week and we are really hoping that they feel ready so it will be super awesome. and well i love this work and finding all the new people that are obviously prepared for the message that we have. A big shout out to bu, happy birthday brother!

Hellowwwwww Family!!
So family this week was really awesome because my companion and i went around and we went back into contacting mode. we were able to find some super awesome people to teach and really make our time more efficient than other days when we just walk around not thinking about who we can talk to.. so this week we went and visited a member who told us that he wants us to visit a bunch of families that live near him.. so we went to go and visit one of these families, well they are four really awesome people. Then sunday he brought them to church and it was really cool because these people really just fell from the sky. and now they are golden investigators with bows wrapped around them.. It was a really awesome experience for us. the other week i was reading in d and c section 6 verse 12 that says that we can never take or treat the spiritual things lightly. i really like that verse because it really helps me remember that i need to work hard and do all that i can. so i love this area and i am learning a lot about how i can find more people to teach. we need to work to find all of the people the lord has prepared for us... I love you all so much and i hope that you can all find somebody that you can help this week, that can see that we are always doing what we can to help and show our love for all of the world. love you all tons and hope you have a great week..

Howdy Hoe Family!!
Hap hap happy New Year, So i can officially say the same thing as Justin and say i will be getting home this year.. haha but the good news is that i have 10 months to keep working in the work of the Lord. so this week was pretty sweet we were able to put a family of 4 with a baptismal date and they are super awesome, the dad is really strict but he really wants his kids to learn and he is crazy when we leave something for them to read he really gets on people if they dont do it so it is pretty cool to see a family that really wants to learn. Also this week i put my goal in reading all of d and c and preach my gospel, and so i have been learning a ton.. i love d and c chapter 6 verse 12 because it really talks awesome about how we need keep cooking and never take the time that we have lightly. We need to buckle down and work harder and find all of the people the Lord has prepared for us. I love this work and i know that we have a great opportunity to make this area shine and really find the people.. it really is more fun to open the area and find anybody..it really puts the pressure on and makes me feel like i have to act and i cant just relax and look at the investigators that we have but i really need to put my strength in finding my own people to teach and i know that i can improve on that still. but i love this work and finding that the Lord has prepared people just for me. I love you all and sorry this isnt very long either but i just want to say that this isnt easy but it is fun.. love you all tons keep being awesome and have a great week...

What it is Family!!!
So it was awesome talking to you yesterday not gonna lie i loved that and i am happy that none of you gave me bad news.. there is a missionary here that all he received was bad news..things like he lost his job, byu rejected his transfer and that his old companion lost his camera and suit... so that sounded just plain horrible.. So this week was a solid week because we were able to have an activity in the church with the ward and we were able to bring four different families with us so that was really cool... they still arent progressing but this area is really starting to show that it has people that really want to learn.. OH AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD END OF THE YEAR!!! holy cow in one week i can say i get home this year.. haha that seems like something just would say.. So i hope goes well for your new year and well i dont know what else to say seeing how i talked to you yesterday but i was looking forward to a short sports update today but oh welll.. I just want to say to finish that yesterday in church i got to give a talk, but this time it wasnt on missionary week the bishop asked me to talk on the atonement,,it was really cool because i got to make my talk in about two minutes and well i feel like it went really well.. I really got to feel the true meaning of christmas because i got to explain what it really means to me..i loved it!! Ilove you so much and i love what the savior did for each one of us.. if you want to look up 2 Nephi 26..24-28 i love the questions that the verses ask and how clear the answers are it really showed me how much i am loved and how much depends on me and what i do...but i love you all have a great week
