This week was awesome!!! so i basically had a pretty normal week for the mtc but it was still a ton of fun. We just hung out and played soccer and studied all the time. So nothing really new happened. My companion left and so that kinda stunk, all the natives are gone so we arent sure if we will be getting new natives or not but we shall see. Also our district got split up this week and thats super sad because i love all the people in my district. we get along great and so it will be interesting to see how this change goes. So again this week we went out real tracting and all that stuff and it was crazy! we taught so many people and i actually said quite a bit and it was crazy!! I bore my testimony and i taught about the restoration and the plan of salvation and my companion taught really well! So this week is a short letter because i dont have much time and we are going on a tour of the city and we get to shop for a whole bunch of stuff. this is not your normal p day because we dont go to the temple we just kinda get to hang out and go on this tour. so i just want to bear my testimony that i know this church is true and that i am teaching people that i am supposed to teach even in super slow simple spanish. i have a real testimony of the strength of the spirit and how we need to follow his promptings. i love you all and who knew that it was almost christmas!? PSYCHO.. oh well all is well in the world of peru and the drivers are still crazy.

1st Time Knocking Doors
HELLO EVERYBODY..
So an update on this week of my life... ya that doesn´t really roll off the tongue but it has been a super good week. ¡i just study the lessons for now out of preach my gospel and am loving it!! i have got a crazy amount of scriptures for the whole first and second lessons. i started yesterday on the third lesson. since i got to the MTC my hand writing has gotten progressively smaller, and i just keep laughing because the smaller i write the nicer it looks. so on Friday of last week we had a TRC where we practice teaching an investigator and do all that kind of stuff. down here the whole class is watching you then they tell you what you did wrong and what questions you could have asked... anyway now that the brief description is done.. we were teaching this guy and i was understanding everything he was saying at the time and he was like ya i am catholic and some of the things dont make sense and we asked him what didnt make sense and he shrugged off the question and we talked to him about a ton of scriptures and right as the teacher was about to call time i had him read i think its ephesians 1:10 but i´m not sure... it was the scripture in the bible that says that the true church will be restored to the earth and then i came out with the question,,, if the bible says the true church would be restored to the earth then wouldn´t it need to be lost first? and he was like uh hmm uh hmm uhhhhhhhhhh and he didnt know what to say because as the investigator he couldnt think of a good response to that. and the class had no errors for us and my teacher stepped up and he was like i really like elder farrs question there at the end.. and i was like of course you did it was awesome!! (I forgot to mention i did all of this in A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE!!!) also this week apparently we past the one month mark which is cool i guess right... 23 to go.. So i bet you think the cool part of the story is already over but wait........ there is more..... the very next day we went out for realzy tracting at real human beings doors and it was crazy.. for the record i understood a lot less out there then i did in the mtc. which was kinda lame but we got into three houses in the day and that was also an experience and those three people said they would go to church and i think one could have but i doubt the other two did. but i was mostly there to bear my testimony because a lot of the people talk with crazy wierd voices and i just cant follow what they are saying. but it was a super crazy experience actually leaving the mtc to go and knock on real doors and getting turned away like all the time.
so me and my buddies have just been hanging out down here doing our work and we havent even noticed what the date is. this just in... it is December.. crazy i know. so in honor of the season i would like to put a couple of my favorite lines on here.. "tis the season to be merry"..."oh thats my name"... or "why is the floor all wet todd.""i Dont know Margo" "its bigger than you expected?.... its a one month membership to the jelly of the month club" "Dang it bethany he guessed it" "may we blink" .... anyway thats all for now i think..
oh just kidding so this week was a milestone week not because the one month thing but because i found a way to get my diet coke´s cold! i make to loops around the air conditioning turn it on to super cold while we are gone and come back into the room with frost on my diet coke bottle hanging from the cieling it was no joke a miracle and i have now done it multiple times and it works great.
Also i just want to say that i know the spirit is working with me it is helping me learn the language and teach people. i love it out here and i know that i am where i need to be. i know that Christ died for us and that through his atonement we can all be saved. i have been studying a lot of scriptures and it is crazy how many scriptures go with any topic. i am happy to be here and i would feel super selfish if i had not come out here because this is my tithing of the first 20 years of my life and i know that is is where i need to be to learn and grow.. last thing the food here all tastes the same.which is pretty wierd because i dont like it when everything tastes the same...

1 week in Peru
The weather down here in peru is freakin awesome! i am so happy to be out of the cold. i couldn't handle all that snow, and i wouldn´t know what to do with crx. so this week has been crazy! it started off super slow and getting to know our companions and trying to understand what they were saying. so we finally can understand a lot of what our companions say because they talk to us like we are three year olds, but still we understand and that is cool.
So we play futbol all the time and it is fun, but until today i have been getting worked and for some reason i always end up playing goalie. Who knew that was my go to position, if our team is just getting worked and i think that i can do better than just wait for the ball to come to forward. So on Monday my companion... elder casanova... (we had this work out teacher and he was making us run a ton and it was horrible cause as we all know i hate running without a reason!! it is one of my least favorite things).. so continuing with my story, he was jumping over the benches that were laid down so we could hurdle them and he jumped and landed on the backrest and sprained his ankle terribly and went to the hospital and he has been on crutches since. so that was interesting.
Today being p day we went to the temple and i got to escort elder casanova through and that was an experience cause i had to explain things in spanish and i think i did pretty solid but it was no walk in the park.
People drive crazier here then they did in saĆ³ paulo. it is scary they are always on the sidewalks and cuttin people off; it is not super fun to be on the road.
We do not get to call from here on christmas which is super ucky but their is a chance that we could all be in the field by then because this place is full, and they will send the more experienced people out when they need us, so that is pretty crazy also.
I dont know what i need for christmas unless they have something that could make drinks cold instantly cause they dont believe in cold drinks here. They have this ridiculous theory that cold drinks make them sick and it is just simply angering me. anyway i went and got a week supply of diet coke. They said not to send packages while in this mtc because it is super expensive to get them. i dont know how true that is but you can try if you really want to.
