Wowsers Family!!!
So family this week was pretty intense, in our area down there in
fonavi we had a family home evening with some of the ward in our area,
and well it turns out it was a hit! we had five investigators come and
also we had some recent converts and less actives so it really was
awesome. And also well i was reading some in the bible and it was
kinda funny reading acts 15 and 16, it made laugh.. haha and i really
have learned that it doesnt matter where in the book of mormon i am
reading, i can always find a million things i want to mark and a million
things that i can teach and share with the people. I have learned
that studying every day i can share and find something that one of my
investigators or that even i need to hear. It is incredible i know
that the scriptures talk to us, and that if we dont read the
scriptures daily we are missing blessings..... enough said.. we are
missing guidance and the spirit stronger. I can honestly say i love
studying the scriptures.. and well to answer the question.... I GOT
CHANGED.... I AM NOW IN CANETE... My area is called mala.... which
translated means bad... or not good.. or any other synonym i think,
and so that is positive i think. Haha i am pretty excited to see if
it lives up to its name or if it is the opposite.. pretty interesting
huh,,so my new companion is elder lopez he is from guatamala and he
seems pretty cool.. i am really excited to be here and enjoy a new area
and get to know some more new people and well help them get to the the
right path. I know this church is true and i love all of my areas
that i have been in and i know that this will be the same that it will
be awesome. Love you all so much and i hope you have a great week.

Shouts out

Wow Family..
So i am thinking this letter is going to be more shout outs than stuff
that happened in my week.. well it was kinda interesting to start of
all of the families we had kinda exploded.. one of them decided they
just arent all that interested..then another one has been busy all
week..then hna blanca zapata, well we taught them on thursday the
word of wisdom and that night they went to a party and her husband got
all drunk..while he was drunk he told her that he doesnt trust us..
then on saturday we went to visit them and she told us
all of what he had said and then she also told us that he had hit her
and crazy things that had happened.. it was so sad because she is so
awesome and it really did just make us super sad. well in total
we had 5 lessons this week and it was not the bomb.. we are really
working hard on finding people to teach.. also well this really
made me think of how blessed i am to have a family so awesome that
doesnt have those problems.. it really made me think of how sad a
life someone has because they choose it.. i mean her husband has
affairs and other ladies and things just because he has chosen that
kind of life and it really is sad..but that was my week here in
fonavi... But on a brighter note and much happier and more fun it is
the best mom in the worlds birthday this week.. I love you so much mom
and you know that but i like to say it and i love how you are always
there for me.. even in internet every week so that i can talk to you a
little bit... YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!! and as i said in my
letter i wrote a year ago. you are an angel for me that is always
looking out for me and making me a better person. I cant wait to talk
to you one more time on mothers day and then i will get to give you a
giant hug pronto... also happy birthday to one of my best buddies
Elder orth.. he is such a boss and i didnt forget your birthday its just
the time on the internet clock is always rolling super fast.. love you
brother and one year in mission also.. what an awesome dude.. Oh and
congrats Troy boy.. Mexico and Stevo hitting up kentucky.. that is
awesome and great to hear you guys are ready to go.. study hard and be
prepared.. for the best two years and rollercoaster of your lives..

Wowsers Family
So this week was kinda interesting... It all started with us realizing that we dont have any investigators.. well to be honest we had 4.. haha so this week we had some pretty solid goals to find some people to teach. We were able to find three really solid families out of nowhere and well that was really awesome.. we go and we are knockin doors and stuff and well this is what happened or how we found one of the families.. so i was standing there and looking at all the houses in front of me and i saw that the letters were w.. and i was like hey my moms name starts with w so then i saw the numbers and it was like 28 29 30 and then i was like we are going to knock on that gray door over there. it was number 31 and so we knock on the door and all of a sudden a lady answers the door.. well we talk to her for a good amount of time at the door.. we were trying to visit her because she had mentioned that her husband was home but resting.. well her name was blanca zapata.. or something along those lines of white shoe.. it was hilarious! when she told us her name i almost started laughing.. but anyway back to my story, she went and talked to her husband and then came and let us in.. then the second time we visited them this week we asked her husband to pray and he was so awesome and started to cry because he felt so good praying. then another family we found because they were sitting outside their house and we were like hey we're going to share a message with you.. they were like ok... haha. then the other family we found knocking on their door.. so this week was pretty awesome and i was very happy that we found real families with dads and every thing... also this week the bishop decided he is going to be a little bit cooler.. he told all the ward that they need to work harder and really put forth some effort to companion us.. so well this week was a lot better than last week.. alex started to roll into seminary all by himself.. he is so bomb. and well that was my week hope all is well at home..

Holy cow!!!
Well it sure sounds like a busy week at home and around the family this week.. Not gonna lie all of the information that i got today made me really happy and laugh a ton.. especially the part where someone put a flaming bag of poop on the porch at jillyn's. perfect timing that kelli was there to say dont step on it.. the only thing that could have made it better would have been ally saying dont tell me my business devil woman.. haha that is hilarious, not gonna lie. And well after that Brooklyn Moore went and won miss laverkin! also really cool something her brothers never could have done.. haha but congrats Brooklyn hope all is well down south. i haven't heard from your family in quite sometime so now that you won that and stuff i am thinking the family should shoot me a line.. Brandon... and Sherri... also.... and well i was also super happy to hear that stephen is waiting for his call and well troy also.. it was funny because i was actually thinking about them this week and when i was going to hear about where they would be headed. that is awesome that i will get to know very soon..
Well for me this week was on both sides of the line.. The good side!! --Well hno alex and hna jenny got baptized and confirmed!!! Awesome as i have been saying alex is one of the coolest kids and i really hope he goes on a mission, but he has some time to prepare. he is only 16.. and well after that... the good side stops.... haha why? let me tell you.. so we had a meeting with the bishop in our area and we were telling him how we need more men to companion us and guess what he said to us... look you guys don't understand now, but after the mission you will understand the people just don't have time to companion the missionaries. we have work, school, and kids to take care of and so ya tough luck.. and then he started to fight with one of the other missionaries in the ward about who knows what, because the other missionary didn't say or do anything, but the bishop started singing paz calmense... it was hilarious and really dumb.. so after that nice experience i was really angry and called president manning and told him the bishop basically told us he doesn't want us here.. so i don't know what's gonna happen but life in the area is getting more difficult, but interesting. well we had 5 lessons this week.. pretty tough but obla di obla da... you know what follow.

Baptism set up!

Well this week family was actually awesome!!!
We were able to have more than ten lessons. well it was just pretty crazy because we talked to hno alex and his mom jenny about their baptism and they are super prepared. they are one of the best opportunities i have had in my mission because i have actually been able to see a change in this kid...he makes me feel really good and recognize why i am here and how i work..i feel really good to know this kid, as i have said before. also we were able to talk to more people in the street and find more people to teach. one day was super awesome and the next day not kidding everyone we talked to was a jehovas witness or evangelical.. i don know but they all just wanted a punch to the face.. one of the jehovas witness´ told us, i dont want
to read your book or have any interest in josesph smith because that is all you believe in and we couldn't say anything.. it was gay!! but i love this gospel and this message that we get to share with all the people.. i love you all and hope you have a great week.. happy birthday also to Carrie., and Grandpa tomorrow!!! hope you both have an awesome day and party like rockstars.. haha

Stayed in Ica

Helloooo.....
Haha well another one bites the dust hey... well another day of changes but the good news is that my companion and i are staying togethe..r the bad news is my good friend elder mckinley got changed to ayacucho, which is the area of the misson which is just really far away and up in the mountains.. everyone gets sick because the food is terrible.. but i am happy because i am loving ica and all that it has to offer in the food department.. for p day we get to go and eat burger king, which is great if you ask me. but anyway this week was pretty solid unfortunately my talking to people in the streets really took a down hill shot and i dont really know why.. we were able to put the rest of alex´s family with a baptismal date here on the tenth of march so that was pretty cool.. we were able to put another one of our investigators with a date for the 24th.. so we are really rolling along down here in my area. well after that not too much has happened.. we need to talk more in the streets to find the people the Lord is providing for us.. we were walking yesterday and the one person we spoke with told us that his mother in law had passed away in the morning and his wife was taking it pretty hard. so it was just to show us that the Lord is preparing people for us that we just havent been talkng to.. the whole running thing is super difficult and i learned that i still dont like it and it takes all the strength in the world to go and run..but ya things are going awesome down here in peru.. sorry if there are no cool stories this week but i have been reading a lot and living the dream down here and i cant ask for more. I love being out here and getting to know all of the new people and seeing how much one message can solve so many problems and difficulties. I know this gospel is true and that the message i get to share with everyone is the most special message that exists in this world.. i feel so blessed to have the time to learn and grow myself, and watch others plant the seed of learning and really putting forth the effort to grow. I love you all so much and thank you tons for your support and letters.. they are awesome to read.

Feb. 20

Hellooo Family

Wowser so another week down and to be honest it was one of the fastest weeks in my life and i dont even know why.. it is incredible to me that it is already over but hey i cant hold back time so i guess i am here and writing again. This week was full of some interesting things starting with us having 11 lessons this week!!! what up that is more than double last weeks total how cool is that?? So this week we put one more person with a baptismal date and well it is hno alex from last weeks letter, and he is rolling on just like an awesome person would, in other words like me, nate, and justin as we have claimed the awesome title. haha but it was pretty crazy this week because one day my companion had to go to lima so we pretty much lost a day of teaching on that and then we had a multi zone conferance which was really cool and we talked a lot about passion desire, and diligence. it was a really good conference and the spirit was crazy strong and really helped all of us put even more in what we are doing and giving it our all. And so today i was studying this morning in mosiah 13 that talks about the commandments and all that jazz but what really drew my attention was how abinadi declares his purpose and that nothing can stop him from telling them of their iniquity and it was just really coo. i can say that i want to be able to say that nothing can stop me from declaring my purpose to all the people. This is a very awesome place to be.. So i dont know if you remember or not but a while back we had a family we were teaching, the fam. hernandez apayco. they were going to get baptized but then they had problems and it didnt look good and they were moving. it went crazy so we stopped visiting them and well yesterday we were sitting in church and who comes walking in all dressed up... the whole family,,, it was nuts and then we went and talked to them and the dad said we arent doing our part. and it was just really cool so we are trying to help them again, but slowly. they arent moving but we need to help their sons get desires to learn so we are doing what we can there... but hey that was this week and i know that this next one we are going to teach even more awesome people... oh and this part for dad and korey... i went running today... turns out i still dont like it but my companion wants to lose weight so i was like lets run... and well we went and we are going again tomorrow... hahha
