Alriiiighty then!!!
So familia what is up from the tropical awesomeness of peru! So this week was ya another flier if you ask me. We got so much done this week it was great. no baptism but we are finally getting the ward to help us out and just doing the work that we can to get some new investigators. hopefully we will be able to meet with a bunch of new people this week! that would be awesome but we are working on reactivating the hermano that we live with and he has agreed to read the scriptures with us every night so we are trying to get places with that. Also we have been talking to a nice lady named hna maria and she has started with her wedding papers and all of that stuff so she can be baptized next month. we are really excited for that. i love it out here it isnt easy but i knew it wouldnt be. i have had numerous conversations now where i didnt have trouble understanding what people were saying. it is awesome when that happens because it has bothered me for months not knowing what people are saying, but now it comes down to getting the languange down and speaking it correctly back to them. i know that i can express myself when i want to but a lot of times it is incorrect spanish. they can understand which for me is the real point. we didnt have any crazy experiences this week but it was just cool. when we are working hard i can just tell that the spirit is here to help us.. Well we did have a really cool contact the other day, we were just walking and saw this lady sitting in the park with her baby and her little boy so we stopped to talk to her. she was really receptive and talked to us for an hour. then we said if you need any service we are glad to help. we said we paint and other stuff that she could need and she was like, "how much does it cost if i had you come paint my department?" she thought we were kidding when we said service is free, she said, "well i will be calling you and i want to hear more about what your message is too." so she said she would call today or we need to call her if she doesnt remember.. but it is awesome out here and i know the church is true. The mission has strengthened my testimony like crazy. and i know that all is well on the home front, because i know prayers get answered and i pray for safety and strength all the time for me and home.. love you tons your favorite elder farrmooreawesome

I love Christmas letters.. so this week was a really awesome week for the whole spanish thing. It started on tuesday when we were talking to hermana crisostomo and we were teaching their family, i had a totally new idea for my companion.. it was to have them teach us lesson two because they have all had the lessons like three times. so the little kids were teaching us the lesson and we were asking questions then out of the blue the mom says, “I was baptized when i was a baby in the catholic church”... and we had never heard this from her, she had never expressed anything like that. So that is one thing we practiced all the time in the mtc,. and the one thing they always said not to do was to directly harshly say your baptism was not real.. and what do you know that is exactly what my companion did. It was just plain crazy so after that all of a sudden i was speaking spanish explaining what my companion meant, trying not to offend her because her jaw dropped. i was asking her questions like why do you think your baptism wouldnt be real? and she was just like i dont know.. but she has had the lessons a good three times, so i asked her how Christ was baptized and she said by immersion and i said a whole bunch of other stuff in spanish and then finished with.. Do you believe Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. Yes. Do you believe the book of mormon is the word of God. Yes. Do you believe this church is true.yes.. and then she said but i liked my baptism and i think that it is real.. and i asked better questions during my spanish talking part but those were just yes/no at the very end.. because it is not normally good to ask yes no questions. but this week was really good in that sense. we did not teach as many people as we would have liked, but we had good lessons when we did get to teach.
Also hermana maria told us she had a dream that she had to choose between two paths.. there was a hard path with rocks and hills and there was an easy path where she could just walk around this building and enter.. So in her dream she chose the hard path cause it looked more fun. so she went down this path and at the very end there was a large man and his name was monson... and he gave her a giant hug when she got to him. and it was crazy because she had no idea who the prophet was so that was kinda cool. so i asked her what she thinks the dream means or what she needs to do in her life and she said that she thinks it means she needs to choose to be baptized and i said ya that sounds like a good answer. but she needs to be married first and then she told us that she is going to make her husband marry her because the dream hit her like a bag of bricks. it was crazy, but the crazy part is that i understood it.
I really felt a jump in spanish this week and i know that the spirit is helping me out with that because all of a sudden i will know a word and what people are saying like it is english. it is an incredible feeling and i love it here in Peru.. i would not want to be anywhere else in this world right now. I know that i have a true love and care for these people now. there are just people i look at and just want the best for, like when i think of emma and cam and trenton and brins. it really is a different feeling. i know this church is true and that missionaries are needed in this world even if they don't speak the language. as long as you have the spirit and want to try to help people. they will know that you cannot be a bad person and will let you in. I love it here. i would encourage anyone to serve a mission because this is real. it is real work and real life. i have never experienced the things and feelings i have had out here

Hola from somewhere warm...
Haha so the weather down here is incredibly warm and it is just really awesome in this area! I love our ward and our investigators. We have been teaching a lot but only a couple of families. we are working on teaching some more people. this week we found 103 future investigators but 90 percent of them are for other areas. our area is just where everybody works and then they go to other areas where they live, so that is kind of a bummer, but at least we are talking to a bunch of people. My spanish i feel took a crazy leap this week. I was understanding a ton but there are still those days that are just like what in the world is going on. It is pretty funny on those days, i think i laugh more those days cause i am just amazed at how i understand and then I don't understand. it is crazy! but in my opinion the spanish got a ton better so it was really good. Also another week down in a flash..people arent kidding. once you are out in the field time just flies. it has already been a month!! we have changes this week and i dont want a new companion.. ever since i started understanding more, things have been awesome with elder Tello. we can joke around now as we walk around which for me is good enough, right now, just so i know that i am happy and can be myself.
And as i well know today is my favorite Emma`s Birthday!! i cannot believe she is 5 already! haha.. i remember getting checked out of school to go down to cali the morning she was born.. That is ridiculous! it really seems like yesterday when i think about it. I love you little girl and i just want you to stay your happy self and have fun on your birthday! .. Happy birthday to Jeff also.. I just thought of when i got to share a room with you back in the day. and then remembered when you introduced me to entenmans... yum.. anyway i just want to say that i love you all tons and hope that you have had as awesome a week as i got to have. 1st Baptism
Howdy Hoe Familia!!! Què Pasa!!
Alright family so this week started off pretty slow. we had our district meeting on tuesday, then we had zone training on wednesday and thursday that lasted all the morning until dinner so we didnt get much teaching in, so this letter could be pretty short. But this week we moved to a new apartment which just made me ridiculously happy!! it was great our new place is super cool and comfortable and also in our new place we have a cd player. so i have been listening to my one cd every day and that one cd is timmy. i hadnt listened to his whole cd before, i dont think, but it is really good. i love the 3rd song, the 4th and 5th but they are all good-- but i love all of those. it is really cool and any peruvian that hears it love it.. anyway so if you could send like three or four of his cds that would be cool so i could give one to my companion i dont know.. friday we finally got to work for a full day again and we had our interview with our little 8 year old that was getting baptized on saturday, then saturday the district leader intervied him and he said that he wanted me to baptize him and boy was that a shock.. so i had to study up the baptism prayer in spanish which was just difficult. so we went and did that on saturday, and it was awesome!!
it was his birthday on the 29 and he turned 8.. so he was baptized on his 8th birthday.. which just so happens to be the day after my half birthday. It was so cooll and the water was FREEZING.. he was shivering his little feet off. so i think i will send pictures of that next week but i am not sure. i dont know what happened but it was just a really fast week again like justin said, every week is over and writing again. so is has just been a really great experience and i know that this church is true. and this week my testimony of the book of mormon has grown 10 times from what it used to be at. i would recommend not kidding reading the book of mormon side by side with another language. just read it in english and then try to pick up the other language and what it says because you pay so much more attention to the words. it is crazy. I love it! but i have felt the spirit so much and i love it here and i know that this is where I am supposed to be in my life and i would not want to be anywhere else..

Howdy Hoe familia!!
Alright so this week was a good week it started off going just like last week it was so fast and we were just teaching a bunch of lessons and talking to people. It was so much fun but on friday my companion came down with the flu so the next few days were slow.
We found our hermano that we live with is smoking in the bathroom like a bunch it is so gross. in one of our trips to the apartment because my companion cant walk for too long, he was in there and i dont think he knows he is smoking because he lights these inscense things but it stinks to high heaven. kelli would have died in there the other day it was horrible.
This week we should have a baptism his name is andre crisostomo and he is turning 8,and he is wants to get baptized like his older siblings. his parents arent baptized so it should just be him. we are trying to teach the family more. but we will see how that goes. also we are teaching another family the miguels and they are actually progressing it seems but they need to get some marriage papers done and they say they are working on them.
So this week the spanish switch flickered a couple of times one time while i was reading i wasnt even realizing it but i was understanding it.. and then in one of our lessons i was understanding the whole lesson and attempting to speak more. but then there were other times where i had no idea what in the world was going on. oh and my companion said he was hungry last night so we went back at 8.. he didnt eat he climbed in bed and fell asleep.. so i made me some pancakes, read a little bit, then got in bed because there was nothing i could do.

A quick week!
What up Familia!!!
How goes it this awesome week?? So this week was pretty intense.. it was actually really awesome! we taught a bunch of lessons including like three lessons to this one family and then they came to church with us on sunday.. they are really cool and one of them has a baptismal date set for the 29. the other ones arent sure yet if they want to. but the mom and dad need to be married and they also arent sure if they want to or not. So this week i also decided that i really like my companion. last week was just getting used to the area and the people so it was just slow for the both of us. my companion teaches me a ton and helps me with my spanish which i think is coming along slowly.. There were a couple of lessons where i was actually understanding what was going on and once with that family the crisostomos, are their names, we were talking about marriage and how it is needed. i said something that made sense and bore my testimony and all that jazz and it was just really cool. i can tell i am getting better at it but ya it is hard.. which i expected because i dont know how someone could think it would be easy to pull down a brand new language..So this week went by like rocket fast. we were just doing the work and all of a sudden it was sunday again and p day today. i hope that all weeks can feel this productive. So dont really have any cool stories this week like a little kid getting machettied, but i dont know if i want to have that kinda thing happening. also i got a new idea with my agendas and i am putting pictures of every prophet on each new one. so if you could send hard copies of john taylors and wilford woodruffs most popular talks or things they did that would be cool because they come up in three weeks and i would like to put stuff on there.. i will send pictures another week so you can see what i mean.. Also i got a letter today from curt and jillyn. it was an awesome christmas card. i love getting christmas cards so i can keep the pictures in my book of mormon. anyway that was all for this week and i love it here. I know that these are the people i am supposed to be teaching, and that even this area is where i was needed in the beginning of my mission. the members help me so much and i love the people. i also learned why jeff says urinate and deficate.. haha much love your favorite elder farrmooreawesome.. haha

First week out.
Alright so it has been a week or so in the field now.. It has been hard but at the same time it has been very refreshing and different. So i got into the field and as i told you we had a baptism for last friday. Her name is Hna maxi and she is a really cool like 50 year old lady and she is just super nice and the bishop baptized her and she came to church on sunday and all went well. Also this week i went and bought a couple things from a store and now i eat pancakes that i make in the mornings after i take my warm shower. So it has been a rollercoaster with the spanish there are days i understand things and days where i am like get me out of here.. not really get me out of here just let me know what you are saying more simply por favor... haha it is just really different. So i have not decided how my companion is yet he teaches me really good things in our study but i dont know if he gets the section in preach my gospel that says hablar con todos.. because his way of talking with everyone is saying hola... he doesnt try to say more than that and that kind of bothers me.. haha but i have decided that this week i am going to change that and i am going to try to talk more myself.. we havent had really any crazy experiences just getting used to the area and being super awesome.. i make my companion pancakes and he likes them but then on the bus he always says that he has no money and makes me pay.. so next time i dont think i will have money and make him pay cause i know he has money. but i just want to say that i love it here and it is straight up fun. I am trying to study all that i can and learn as much spanish as a i can but it is tough and so i read my book of mormon in english side by side with spanish to try to understand.. well i know all is well at home let me know how the big game goes tonight and tell daniel go ducks.. Love you all so much you have no idea when i feel down i think of home and you would think i would feel more down but it actually just calms me.. your favorite elder farrmooreawesome..
