Day after Mother's Day Call

Well it sure was awesome to talk to all of you guys yesterday!! And how awesome is the news that Brinly and Amy are pregnant that is super awesome and i was really happy to see and hear all that is going on.. So this week as i told you we were able to have 4 people in church and we had 12 lessons so not a crazy ammount but at the same time it seems like we are improving in the area we are really trying to work with the branch down here because in the last year there have been 37 baptisms and 3 of them are active.. So the branch doenst seem to understand their job and what they need to do.. Also to be honest i actually feel like i am doing the best job i can as a dl It isnt as bad as i had made it out to be.. It is really fun to just try and help and make the missionaries in my district work and it sure seems like it is working because the missionaries in my district who didnt have anyone to baptize and they were going to close the area where they are, now have 6 people with baptismal dates and 4 of them are for this week.. So it has actually been really cool to help them progress and put more people with baptismal dates.. My job normally consists of just calling to see how they are all doing and asking if i can help them and keep them animated in what they are doing.. It is actually really cool.. and with the call from yesterday no they werent bothering me to get off but i didnt want to take too much time because sister prices´ kids had to call her still and so it would have been sad if they couldnt have talked to their kids on her day... haha but no it was just really cool to see you all and hear all of you talk and it was just awesome.. and well i knew i had the coolest family sister in laws included it is awesome to see that you are all doing well and working hard... And ya that was my week and what my job is as a district leader.. hope you have a great week and i know i will.. and now it is just work work work and then all of it will come to an end one of these days and that will be sad.. i love this work and i know that it is the work of the lord and i love the book of mormon i would recommend reading it, but not just reading it but searching it.. Steven,,, you arent going to be on the future side after this week and i just want to tell you that this will be the best two years of your life.. Ya some times will be tuff and will make you think but the good times far outway the bad and you will grow as a person as you dedicate your life to the lord.. it all starts now and i love you brother give your all and just enjoy the time that you have to learn and share the gospel, and salvation to all... Work hard..

Well Family... This week was a lot better than last week.. not gonna lie haha my companion and i had 0 problems but it was pretty hilarious because we had made everything better and then the zone leaders called us and were like hey you guys never seemed like you had problems so why did we receive a message from president saying this.. haha and so we were like well we didnt write very nice about the other one on monday but really we had no problems we just turned into writers for one day.. haha so that was pretty hilarious and then well this week was solid we were able to have 2 people come to church hno Elmer and Hna Susana which are two of the 4 baptisms we have planned for this month so it is working pretty well ... haha and well the area is progressing little by little.. and well we really are working hard here in mala.. and i love it here and making it work with my companion. Well Family there goes another week!! and wow another month goes right with it.. So this week was interesting... haha i dont know what to write, we started to put a new ward mission plan into play and well it was kinda hilarious because my companion told me that i am not pulling my load but i know that is false, because i am here working my rear off and trying to find people because their are not very many investigators from before i got here, and most of them arent investigators that cant progress. so we are really putting forth more of an effort to find and teach the people in the moment and we were able to have some real success and find 4 new people to teach, and well i really feel like we have improved our teaching methods a whole bunch together.. and so it is interesting. We have some good investigators but none of them that have come out of the wood work to really shine and show a ton of progress so we are seeing what we can do. We are really trying to work more with the branch because last year they had 37 baptisms.. any guesses on how many of them are active??? 2..... so ya that is kinda sad, so before we go into attack mode we want to know that the branch is willing to help us out.. so that was my week i am trying to not fight with my companion but that is getting more and more difficult.. but i am going to keep working hard and putting forth my best efforts. So family another one bites the dust.. I swear not kidding, the time really does just fly and that makes it really hard to have an awesome week. This week we had 11 lessons and well we were also able to find a few new people but it would be a little bit better if we could find some more. It really is tough because almost all of the people in my area now are just living with each other so they arent married... that makes life difficult because that means that they have to get married first and that is just ridiculously tough!! And so i am trying to get my companion into more of a mood to search for the people that need us.. We were able to find a nice lady and her family named marlene... she is awesome and just wants the best for her two teenage kids and they just want to be a happy family so we know that this message will help them a ton. Also this week we were able to work a little bit better with the little branch that we have, and well it is kinda tough to receive references but hey we are progressing slowly.. and nextly we also get to use some of our time as you remember to teach the prices´ spanish, and they are hilarious elder price makes jokes like dad and it is pretty funny i get to laugh and eat really good desserts for the first time in a long time... haha so that makes me happy. and well we need to find more people that really is the concern here in mala.. but no worries i know that we can do it.. we just need to talk to the right people. haha thats easy.... and well I have been able to use my agenda this week and this month a whole bunch i have one of the quotes from elder holland and another quote from elder bednar, and i love them it is awesome!! i love it because it helps me know that everything happens for a reason and these quotes that i put have really helped me... and sorry i dont want to write them on here because i have them in spanish and i dont want to translate them.. But i love conferance and the talks and i love the spirit and how it CAN work with each and everyone of us, we just need to listen and put forth an effort. Wowsers Family!!! So family this week was interesting and fun.. not gonna lie my new area is way better than the name makes it seem.. as it is literally called.. bad... but this week was not bad at all we were able to put a kid with 22 years old with a baptismal date for the 13th of may.. so that was awesome. My companion,, well not gonna lie is a little strange but thus far we have made it work. Let me explain... My companions name is Elder Lopez from Guatamala, he is really cool as a person, He is a clean freak and so that is one point that i already lose because i am clean normally but i am in no way a clean freak.... Second Point and this is the one that keeps me happy is that we dont fight and he isnt super prideful like some of my other companions have been.. and third point is the one that scares me a little bit is that he likes and knows fashion and clothes and designers and models male and female better than and i am not getting better than i know sports!! All he does is talk about fashion how to walk and wierd things like that so that is a little bit strange.. and well ya its kinda funny cause he washes his face about 5 times a day without fail, and he cannot wear anything that is even close to dirty.. and it is hilarious... So this week in the area which i am loving haha my new area isnt super close to the ocean but i can see it from my house on the third floor.. it is an awesome view not gonna lie...and the branch is small but there are people who want to work and help us out on a normal basis. Also this week i came to know that in my district and better yet in my branch i have a companionship of couple missionaries.. they are the Price's and well they are awesome, They are from Idaho and they speak almost no spanish.... so we get to devote 6 hours of the week to helping them learn spanish so now i am the teacher.. how crazy is that!! and in return they give us real desserts that sister price makes this week i had snickerdoodles, brownies, apple pie, banana cream pie, and also they give us one lunch and this week it was vegetable soup... haha but it is awesome and they are super cool and work hard, and Elder Price is just like papa smurf making some funny jokes so it is awesome.. The area is pretty sweet it is basically a mountain sometimes we get to go down and the rest of the time we are going up... haha but it is cool we will see what this week brings.. who knows we have a baptism planned for saturday.. could it be, could it be, could it possible be... name that musical.../show.. Wowsers Family!!!
So family this week was pretty intense, in our area down there in
fonavi we had a family home evening with some of the ward in our area,
and well it turns out it was a hit! we had five investigators come and
also we had some recent converts and less actives so it really was
awesome. And also well i was reading some in the bible and it was
kinda funny reading acts 15 and 16, it made laugh.. haha and i really
have learned that it doesnt matter where in the book of mormon i am
reading, i can always find a million things i want to mark and a million
things that i can teach and share with the people. I have learned
that studying every day i can share and find something that one of my
investigators or that even i need to hear. It is incredible i know
that the scriptures talk to us, and that if we dont read the
scriptures daily we are missing blessings..... enough said.. we are
missing guidance and the spirit stronger. I can honestly say i love
studying the scriptures.. and well to answer the question.... I GOT
CHANGED.... I AM NOW IN CANETE... My area is called mala.... which
translated means bad... or not good.. or any other synonym i think,
and so that is positive i think. Haha i am pretty excited to see if
it lives up to its name or if it is the opposite.. pretty interesting
huh,,so my new companion is elder lopez he is from guatamala and he
seems pretty cool.. i am really excited to be here and enjoy a new area
and get to know some more new people and well help them get to the the
right path. I know this church is true and i love all of my areas
that i have been in and i know that this will be the same that it will
be awesome. Love you all so much and i hope you have a great week.

Shouts out

Wow Family..
So i am thinking this letter is going to be more shout outs than stuff
that happened in my week.. well it was kinda interesting to start of
all of the families we had kinda exploded.. one of them decided they
just arent all that interested..then another one has been busy all
week..then hna blanca zapata, well we taught them on thursday the
word of wisdom and that night they went to a party and her husband got
all drunk..while he was drunk he told her that he doesnt trust us..
then on saturday we went to visit them and she told us
all of what he had said and then she also told us that he had hit her
and crazy things that had happened.. it was so sad because she is so
awesome and it really did just make us super sad. well in total
we had 5 lessons this week and it was not the bomb.. we are really
working hard on finding people to teach.. also well this really
made me think of how blessed i am to have a family so awesome that
doesnt have those problems.. it really made me think of how sad a
life someone has because they choose it.. i mean her husband has
affairs and other ladies and things just because he has chosen that
kind of life and it really is sad..but that was my week here in
fonavi... But on a brighter note and much happier and more fun it is
the best mom in the worlds birthday this week.. I love you so much mom
and you know that but i like to say it and i love how you are always
there for me.. even in internet every week so that i can talk to you a
little bit... YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!! and as i said in my
letter i wrote a year ago. you are an angel for me that is always
looking out for me and making me a better person. I cant wait to talk
to you one more time on mothers day and then i will get to give you a
giant hug pronto... also happy birthday to one of my best buddies
Elder orth.. he is such a boss and i didnt forget your birthday its just
the time on the internet clock is always rolling super fast.. love you
brother and one year in mission also.. what an awesome dude.. Oh and
congrats Troy boy.. Mexico and Stevo hitting up kentucky.. that is
awesome and great to hear you guys are ready to go.. study hard and be
prepared.. for the best two years and rollercoaster of your lives..
