Wowsers what an Awesome weekend Family!!
Well i am going to start off by saying Happy Birthday Grandma and well
i will also say my brother is getting married in a week.. Haha and
then the next part. So last week i got my new companion in my area
which meant that i get to direct the area and all of that. we are co
companions so we both make the decisions and just kinda roll on
together. but ya he came from the south and since the first day he was
sick with the gripe. ya he likes to spit his flem on the floor of
the house and blow his nose on the floor and it is just a little bit
gross but ya.. he is getting better and does that stuff less now.. but
ya it was a little bit interesting this first week. Also we had all
our nice investigators and they all like him but all expressed sadness
that Elder Rivasplata left. But this week was pretty good with my
companion being sick we had 28 lessons which was a little lower but
still awesome!! So this week we have been teaching hna juana and hna
amelia a ton. the both of them have all their papers to be
married and are going to get er done in one of these next two weeks..
also we had the entrevista for hno pedro and he is going to be
baptized this week because he had to work yesterday and saturday, so he
couldnt be baptized saturday.. but that will be cool and i get to
baptize him, so i am excited for all of that. overall this week was
more for the investigators to get used to my new companion. but life is
rolling and ya I HAD MY FIRST DIET COKE IN 160 DAYS!!! What an awesome
week....but more than that i had the opportunity to guide the lessons
a little bit more, and when you need to guide the lessons i think you
are just more in tune with the spirit and listening more to what the
investigators say because it was like i knew what i needed to teach
and how to teach it. if i am not listening ya i get lost and cant
follow the spirit.. there is a crazy difference when following the
spirit and not following the spirit.. I love this gospel and being
here.. I hope this week goes a little bit smoother than last week and
just know that i am praying for your safety and happiness at all
times.. love you so much and i would be nowhere without you all...

After Mother's Day Call
Alright well it was super awesome talking to you all this week!! This week was awesome, but the sad news of the week is that my companion got changed! Now I have a new companion named Elder Serrano.. he seems pretty chill, and I have a first question for each of my companions.. it is .. Do you like sports or art.. as of now the companion that liked art I had an ok relationship with, and the one that liked sports was awesome!.. My new companion likes sports, so we will see how it goes, but ya it seems like it should be alright. This week we had only 25 lessons because my companion didnt really want to teach the last two days. He wanted to say goodbye to his converts in the area.. but it was another great week! We have one of our investigators set for baptism this week in Hermano Pedro and he is reading the Book of Mormon like crazy. He is awesome. Then hopefully this week we can get Hna. Amelia and Juana married so we can get them baptized, because they are both ready for baptism just need to be married.. I dont have much time to write so this letter will be short because I was waiting for my companion to arrive until 11. Then we got here late so I cant write a ton but, ya life is rolling and flying by.. just need to enjoy the spirit in our lives and all is going to be awesome. While I was talking to Korey I realized that starting your day off with a little scripture study is awesome.. it just seems to start the day off with a spiritual boost... but that is my spiritual experience for the time being.. Well that is all for now.. love you tons and I will talk to you again next week..

Wow!!
Well this week consisted of yes another bundle of lessons that are just ridiculously awesome because me and my companion are completely cool with our people and know how to talk to them. This area in V.E.S is so cool and the people are so much more humble and willing to listen and i love seeing the change in people. I loved Surco and my ward members there but man this area tops it by 30 investigators and the ward and leaders are so much more active in the missionary work. Well this week we completed our personal goal of 35 lessons! which is yes a personal best! It was awesome, although we didn't baptize anyone this week we did set baptisms for the 7th, 14th, and 21st of this month. One of our investigators named Pedro was a dud for my first two weeks and then all of a sudden decided he would try to do what we asked him. the last three weeks he has been rolling and is set for baptism in 3 weeks. haha... also this week we got to teach 6 new investigators.. Now the first one was a little girl like 12 years old who lives with her cousin, who is a member. she is just trying to learn and then says she wants to be baptized in a couple weeks because she loves how her cousin is and wants to be like her.. this girl is really smart she has read all of first Nephi and it has only been a week. she seems like she understands what we are saying to her. it is crazy how many little kids want to know the truth and the true church. Then we were teaching one of our older investigators Carmen and she is set for baptism the 21st, so that is awesome. but wait during our lesson with her the other day she brought 2 friends to listen.. one of which came back for the second lesson yesterday. her name is Veronica and she is really interested in repentance and changing her life and doing more of what the Lord wants for her. so we taught her and it was just really cool how she reacted, she was really listening to the words we were saying, and she is going to keep listening! we are excited about her. Then on Wednesday we went to a person me and my district leader contacted and we went in and sung the hymn, i know that my reedemer lives,, ya she was crying by the third verse.. it is awesome how strong the spirit is in this area and how strong it can really be in our lives when we try to live right. As long as we are keeping the commandments and reading the words that are here for us we will have so much more of an understanding of the gospel. i learned this week how to use the footnotes in the book of mormon.. now i mean i knew how to use them, but i never really used them and learned the bible and that kind of stuff. but it is crazy how much the bible says that people just don't understand!! Then lastly,,last night we went to another guy that wanted to talk to us about the bible.. well we were talking to him but he was doing all the talking about the bible and saying prophets couldn't have been in the Americas. that would just be ridiculous so after about fifteen minutes i stood up, cause we were outside sitting down but he was standing, and just told him look our message is that we have the gospel of Jesus Christ in the world. we are the same church Christ established when he was here, and we are here to share the message that God restored this church and prophets to help us in our crazy world. then we gave him a book of mormon and said if you want to know the truth read this..and so ya we will see how that goes. but, you gotta be bold to be out here and that is what I did yesterday... I felt like kevin convincing someone of something... it was weird but cool..

Easter Week
Wowsers..
So there goes another week.. it started yesterday and ended today! my companion and i had another sweet week. we pulled 30 lessons again which is awesome! this week we were teaching a sister that we baptized on saturday, so that was awesome. My companion baptized her which was cool because he has been teaching her his whole time in this area. he said when they started teaching her she didn't want to hear about the gospel at all, but her mom was listening so she started listening, and ya she is baptized and awesome.

Also this week we found four new investigators that we can teach and now we have a bunch of people to teach. it is crazy! i would write names but it would take way to long. This week was the semana santa and i don't remember celebrating that in america, all i know we celebrate is easter. they have some crazy parade thing in my city with like a remake of the crucifixion of Christ,, it was crazy, the people put on roman clothes and had 2 crosses that they put on a hill. all the people were at the bottom of the hill crying. it was really weird.. unfortunately i did not have my camera to take a picture for you. but the rest of the week was more preparing people for baptism and setting up dates for it. My companion and I are getting along awesome and i love the way he teaches and the opportunity i have to learn from him. this place is legit and it will be one of my favorite areas and companions. I cant believe it has almost been six months. that is crazy! it feels like nothing and i am a quarter of the way done. i am so excited to be here and teaching all the people in spanish. i love the missionary scriptures that talk about how the lamanites will receive the gospel and flourish and i can say that it is so true. also in my study this week i read in alma 53:10 it is an awesome verse that talks about the power a missionary can teach with.. i love this gospel! i know that if a person wanted to give it a chance they would come to know that it is true, and recognize it is the plan they accepted before this world was. they just need to let it into their hearts..

Here we come again....name that band..
Haha well i dont know why i started with that but all systems go and soon the world will know.. the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my new area it is so freaking sweet! this week me and my companion were even more awesome and we taught 33 lessons, have 25 investigators, 8 of which are really progressing, and 2 baptisms for this week. It is awesome. ya me and my companion are still awesome! we have had no problems and i dont see any coming. we are like brothers, we can joke around but at the same time teach with the spirit. I love it because he knows so much about the book of mormon, so i am learning a ton. and my district leader told me that i need to learn what i am going to right now, because there is a good chance my comp or i could go next transfer. so that is a huge bummer but nobody knows until the day of changes. So this week was incredible! the only way i can say it is it was a spiritually driven week. Well on Wednesday me and my companion were just walking away from an appointment that didnt show up so we went to another house that we didnt plan at all. his name is pedro and he let us in.. now pedro in the past has not been progressing at all, but we got there this night and he was like i read and prayed and i want to give myself to the church when i learn more of what you teach me. so that was crazy and he told us what he read in moroni ten and said he like verses 3-5. haha those are the verses that we focus on so it was great.. then we went to another lady that my companion contacted a while back and she told us that she needed something in her life and gladly talked to us. and then yesterday we had another appointment fall through so we decided to go to a house of a member, we dont know why, but in the house that day was her daughter who has been inactive for fifteen years and started crying when we told her to come back to church because she said she wanted to but just couldnt bring herself to do it. it was crazy this week and the spirit was driving us.. i am so excited to get back out there this week and hopefully pull in some more spirit. i am doing great in that sense but yesterday i got flees!!! it is not fun to be itching but my awesomeness is stopping them i have decided, so all is well if you ask me.. no flee will stop me.. i know this church is true and will only help somebody going thru a hard time in life. just open the book of mormon and it will be on a page that will help in that exact thing. just search ponder and pray..

Well another week gone....
Alrighty then well this week went by fast, just as they all have.
It really is crazy how time just flies out here. We have so many
investigators in this area and so little time to visit all of them. My
companion and i are great. we had his birthday this week on thursday
and well we ate chicken and french fries 2 times and chicken and rice
two times so in total we ate a full chicken a bunch of fries and
rice.. and then some cake stuff to go on top.. Well that night lets
just say i had a new best friend in the bathroom!! it was awful at 130
i got up and didnt get back to the bed until 530. thanks to a nice bug
that was in my food and gave me an awesome infection! so the next two
days friday and saturday were pretty sad.. i was in the bathroom for
two days, boy was it sad. but its all good my awesomeness beat the
sickness and i am now healthy again so we worked hard yesterday and
ended up having 21 lessons this week. which ya isnt the best but i was
sick for two days and well what more could i do. So on saturday night
i was feeling a lot better so we went to set up appointments with some
people for sunday. we didnt have church yesterday because it
was the elections of peru.. so we were walking and my companion asked
who we should go visit and i said this girl named diana who is 10 and
her mom.. well we went there to set up an appointment and the mom was
bawling and told us how the little girl and her were in a really big
fight and needed our help.. so that was an awesome testimony builder
for me because i really felt like we needed to go visit them and we
did. they needed to talk things out and they werent going to do it.. so
it was awesome!! also yesterday we had two lessons on repentance and i
told my favorite story of repentance and the power of prayer two
times. and that story is the story of korey.. i love telling people
how repentance is possible and how awesome my older brother is and how
he was one of the best examples for me in the 5 years before my
mission.. i love this gospel and the spirit we have the opportunity to
have with us at all times. it is only going to do what is good and if
we follow then all that is going to happen is the lords will.. we
arent going to change peoples lives without the spirit.. it is the
only thing that will take this message to the hearts of the people. my
testimony has grown so much and i love it.. i will try to be more
healthy to work better..
now i need to finish with a song my companion started singing the
other day and i joined in.. Smelly cat smelly cat what are they
feeding you smelly cat smelly cat its not your fault...... haha it is
a song from pheobe on friends and he loved that show.. so it was just
another thing we have in common...

April Conference
Howdy Hoe!!
> Wow, conference was awesome right!! the message that i got out of it is that all people need to help the missionary work, we need to have awesome desires and hopes at all times because they lead to actions, we need to do more service and lastly we are a church of action!! I loved it and when i started watching on saturday morning as you all know i saw the snow and started laughing out loud, and just yelled to all of the missionaries in the room que feo!!! it was great. i was laughing hysterically and i was super sorry for you guys, but it just made me happier to be here!! It was awesome to see that and know that i am supposed to be here.. And this week was legen wait for it... it was cool because we had 25 lessons in a week of five days. we could not do anything tracting wise during the days of conference! But 25 lessons is 10 lessons more than the average in my old area. the people here are so much cooler and more humble and they will talk to us at all times! It is an incredible experience to be in this area and my companion is from lima. he is about 10 minutes from my old area in surco so he is not far from home. but we get along great! his favorite sport is basketball and we are always happy together. he is so much more chill than elder tello and that is just my personality, so when we are teaching i feel like it is just coming more naturally. i love it. we have a little 10 year old and his family that we are teachin, the 10 year old was baptized a couple weeks ago, and he is crazy. saturday he came to conference in the morning with us then we went to lunch and he thought we were going home after that but then we told him there are two more hours and his reaction was.... oh que suerte!! he was so excited he just kept saying these are the words of prophets.. it was so sweet....and i hope your not lactose intolerant cuz this next part is dary!! Legendary.. i know this church is true and i love the family that i have been given to help me through this life and the examples that they are to me i love you all and i would be nothing without you! keep being amazing and i am trying to keep myself up to your level.
