There goes 2 years

WELL I WAS GOING TO WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS TO TELL YOU THIS BUT WITH THIS CHRISTMAS BONUS CHECK WE´LL BE PUTTING IN A POOL........ YUP THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE BIG ONE....haha or something along those lines.. sorry if i am a little bit off but i havent seen the movie in two years.. Wow so there goes two years..... this week we will pass the 2 year mark for my farewell and the 2 year mark from when i started.. nuts....but hey this week went pretty well, we have been preparing the people for baptism and we are really really trying to help 2 people make it to baptism in this week, jazmin and darsy.. it would be really cool to help both of them make it.. jazmin is a sure thing but darsy is a little bit unsure... but we really are working on finding the people and i know that it will not be easy but we are really really trying to finish off these weeks with all the strength that i have got.. i love this area and it will not be easy to say goodbye to all these people.. it is unbelievable how much has happened!!! life is nuts!! well we are in the last email.. i love this gospel... there really is nothing like it and i know that when i get home i dont want to leave my bubble.. i am so happy i have the best family that is always there to support me and i love how much you have all taught me in my life before the mission and also how much i have learned from each of you still being in the mission.. I have learned that i have a testimony of the gospel and i know that my family is the reason that i have been able to have such a good life. This really is unbelievable that it took leaving my family for two years to really really really appreciate them.. i have always loved my family for being awesome and fun and hilarious but now i know that the gospel is the motor for the boat.. I love you all and thank you for all the support you have given me in my mission.. I hope that we all may continue our progress in life together and read and have a good time as a family all the time.!! well i guess that would be alll right??? i love you tons and i will be talking to you later.......... Hello Family.. So today family i am in an internet place and the keyboard bites... so if i dont write very much that is not my fault.. haha but this week was another stellar week. we were able to have another baptism, hna Dora got to the water. let me tell ya she is 62 but she looks like shes 80. well when she felt the water she gave me a stern look and i talked her into the water. but boy was it freezing cold...hahaha holy cow i was doing all i could to not shiver when she was in the water. after i had finished the prayer i was waiting for her to take a breath but she couldnt because she was so cold, but in fin she took her breath and got dunked.. so it was a really cool experience because we have been working with her since i got here. so it was really cool to see her make the decision and be the example for her family..now we are working on her two daughters and her grandson... little by little..one of the daughters is preparing for the 3 of november.. we are hoping she stays strong and the other one says in december.. so ya not to likely ill be here for that one.. but the important part is that they make the decision..so in these days we were able to have some great lessons. the other family from last week that didnt come to church was able to make it this week. so that was great.. and they also have a baptismal date for the 3rd. we are really excited for them.. The work is progressing and the time isnt stopping.. i am thinking my next email will probably be my last and that is a pretty interesting thought eh...i love this work and i love peru it is so awesome and the people are so loving. it is just really easy to talk to whomever.. i love being able to teach the gospel and study the scriptures in the morning..it really is the way to start off a day... cant believe it but ...... Baptism of Hna Dora

she is pretty awesome.. she is a little bit older but she is pretty hilarious.. she didn't tell us but this week she gave up drinking alcohol.. she didn't know the drink she had was alcoholic, she just used it because when she had food stuck in her throat or when she felt full she would drink one and then she was all good.. haha it was pretty funny her reaction but ya she is going to be baptized on saturday.. she needs to have her interview still but she is really pretty awesome.. her family is also really cool but they are progressing a little bit slower, but they are working and going little by little.. life really has started to go a whole bunch faster in these last couple weeks, all the investigators that we have been working so hard to help progress are finally moving... so that is awesome!! the gospel really does bless families.. i have seen it in two families in just this week.. this area i have really learned how finding families really is what makes the missionary work move.. this gospel is incredible... i love you all so much for being their and supporting me in the mission and always helping me be excited about the work.. I have learned a lot here and i love my area and the people we have been getting to know these days.. Conference Weekend

HELLO FAMILY, So this week was another super awesome week down.. i can happily say that we are working like mad down here in one of the best countries in the world. I love this place.. i really don't want to go back to speaking English.. i feel like when we speak in English with the other Americans i feel like my English is terrible, and i don't look forward to speaking! ughhh. I feel a whole lot more comfortable speaking in sacrament meeting in Spanish than I have ever felt in English... but whatever.. I love the mission and I can say that this week we were able to find two new families.. But we are going to see if they are interested. We were able to help and teach the investigators that we have.. right now we are helping hna dora because she knows the church is true but doesn't want to get baptized.. She feels like it is too fast.... but we are really working on helping her understand. The conference was awesome if you ask me, i feel like each one of the talks was specifically for each person.. it is incredible how in two days they can reach every person for at least one thing, if and only if we attend all of the conference.. If we don't it is likely that we missed something really important!!! I love this gospel and I love being here working with my companion to find the people that really really need MY help.. I know this is the true church and the gospel has been restored so that we can have true happiness.

WHAT IT DO FAMILY!!! So this week family as we all know passed by really fast and i am happy to say that things are going really well.. we were able to find two more people and put them with baptismal dates for the 27 of october..they are really cool and they are both completing the commitments and doing all that we tell them that they need to do.. except for the most important one, coming to church.. they didnt make it yesterday and we dont know why but we will know more on them tonight.. it was kinda sad that they didnt make it.. the person that is helping us with them said that she did all that she could but they didnt want to get out of bed.. they are her cousins.. alvaro and sebastian.. one of them is 14 and the other is 11 but they are solid..we just need to improve a couple more things here. Elder Romero is really cool, we teach really well together.. we have been able to help some people that are going through some really big problems in this week.. it is really different being companions with someone who has more time in the mission and that can teach. because i havent had a companion that had experience teaching since elder tani,, so it is really cool teaching in unity down here. we are working the hardest we can.. we are also animating the youth to go on missions, having them come with us to visit and being part of some of our lessons.. this has been really cool. I love this work and these next five weeks are going to be really great in the work.. Well Family, So this week was really awesome!! Not gonna lie, one of the coolest in a long time. So last week as you remember we were left with a "to be continued"... on the hna lidia.. well we went through the week on a day to day basis..(and in the sports world the whole day to day thing I never liked, because my favorite player normally didn't play when he was day to day). but the great news is even still on day to day basis, she came to the 2 appointments we had.. then she said that she would have the interview for her baptism, but that she still wasn't sure if she was ready. Her thing wasn't that she didn't want to get baptized it was more that she wanted more time. at the same time she understood that we weren't pressuring her, but that she was the one that put the goal for her baptism..so she was like ya i am thinking about it non stop... and so on Friday morning she got to her interview 2 hours late, but she got there... and then after the interview she was like.. i am a little more sure.. but she wasn't 100 percent.. she said ya i will call you tonight to tell you what time tomorrow would work best for me... we were like uh ok..the whole day we were just waiting for her call to tell us what time..then at 1000 that night she called and was like ya i want to be baptized. it was great so her baptism was set for 1 o clock which didn't give us much time to coordinate her baptism, but we did what we could..then she ended up getting there around three, but the good news is that she got there and it was awesome!

This week we found six new people and we found the families I said we were going to find.. so that was good. I'm telling you, I don't lie, all i can say is that when things don't work out they will later... haha but my companion got changed it was sad but my new companion is awesome!! his name is elder romero he is from columbia, he entered the field with me, we were in ica together and we are really cool together.. we are going to work super hard in this change and it will be really fun. I am not district leader the mission has turned the corner and passed all leadership possissions.. (that is spelled terribly) but i honestly have no idea how to spell it... hahahaha to all the young missionaries.. with 6 months to a year basically.. so all is well.. i love this place i love you all.. I know the holy ghost really does work in the hearts of the people when they really do ponder on the things that we are able to share with them. good to hear all is well at home and well have another great week.... Corey's Birthday Week

Wow Family so another one down,,,, So this week went by really fast!! we have been fighting with one of our investigators to get her ready for baptism on the 22 or this week... and well she was super high in spirits 2 weeks ago... it was awesome.. then we told her that she had to tell her husband that she was going to get baptized and all her animos went down like a rock in the ocean... because her husband is ridiculous and loves video games more than his family and gets angry.. and urrrrrghhh. its annoying.. but yesterday she came to church with a dress and everything!! super happy and full of animos out of nowhere!!! it was awesome.. and so from what we know she is going to be getting baptized this week.. pray for her... her name is lidia.. she is awesome.. her husband not awesome.. and then we are really working on finding 3 families.. this week we found one, but the other 2 couldnt meet with us for the appointments, but we are going to meet with them this week, and they will be awesome.. This is pretty crazy not gonna lie my companion and i are really trying to find some people to teach. I would like to send a shout out to my buddy ryan, I love you brother and i know that you learned what you needed to learn in the mission. I think that with your time in the mission you were able to obtain a testimony of the truthfulness of the message that we share with the world. that is what the Lord really wanted to help you with!! You are a great friend and you have always helped me be better, and thank you for always being there for me. you are a great example ryan, and now i believe you have have a strong testimony.. I love you brother!!! and lastly i would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! BIG BROTHER... i cant believe you're so old.. oh just kidding! i can believe it seein how since i was a little lad.. you were old..hahaha i am funny.. but hope all is well and hope that you have an awesome birthday tomorrow.. i want you to know that you have been a great example for me and i love you brother. i am really really happy that you came back to live at home with me, and teach me and give me the opportunity to baptize you.. it was an experience i will never forget.. it was 5 years ago this week if i am not mistaken... or 4 years ago.. not exactly sure.. but i will never forget the experience.. you are a great brother and here shortly a great dad!!! Everybody say heyy.... HEYYYYY..haha i dont know why,, but hey this week came and left, it seems like they all go really fast. But this week wasnt 110 percent awesome like some the weeks before.. let me explain.. our investigator eduardo who was going to get baptized the 15 osea this week... that was living with members because his life got blown up so this nice family of members was like you can live here.. and so he was there and then he decided to ruin it.. some guy came and told him he could take a job selling beer for 3 weeks but he would have to move to another area.. and it was only going to be for three weeks..... and he went.. he left a nice coumfy home where he had life easy and was recuperating to go and ruin it.. and he took the job and left without saying anything to the family!!! it was terrible.. but then we found a new investigator in the same house, so not all is lost... haha ,, also with some of our other investigators they are progressing one for the 22 and two for the 6th of october.. so things are really rolling we need to find more new people but for reals the mission is the bomb.. my new favorite scripture is alma 37:44-46 i really like these verses i have been able to apply then to many different situations and i can say that they are my favorite verses.. for now. i love the book of mormon and plan of salvation and all the awesome things we get to teach out here.. it is the best the gospel that we know and have... the blessings that the lord has is incredible we need to always remember that he is always there to lift us up and clean us off.. i love you all and hope you continue being awesome!!!! Kelliann's Birthday Week

What it is Family!!! So this week was really awesome.. Not gonna lie it flew really fast! on tuesday we had a multi zone conference and that was really cool, President Douglas really wants us to work with the members better here in lima and in the mission south, And then on thursday we had a good service as a zone and so that was cool, we moved the storage room of the mission to another part, so that was normal, and then on friday we had a little reunion with 700 missionaries in lima and Elder D. Todd Cristofferson, It was really cool, i will just touch on the main point that he had for us.. What is Repentance?? is the question he asked, Why do the scriptures say that we are called to preach repentance and nothing else.. and so it was actually pretty cool because the whole world got up and said something,, and i didnt want to get up so i told my companion something so he would get up and then he did.. and then the answer i told him was right!! haha i won.. i was like because when somebody repents they are applying the atonement to their lives and then they are able to receive forgiveness.. so that was awesome because i felt good that i wasnt just making something up.. So then this week we were able to get 5 investigators in the church and we also had 2 less actives come, so that was really good.. We are really feeling about the work here in the area not gonna lie.. we are working hard to get this area back up to where it should be, because before this ward had 4 missionaries and then they stopped working and so they took 2 out and so we are trying to animate them to do the work. So things are really going fast trying to get all of them moving!! and it is working we, found two families of less actives that are in the process of getting active, and also we are using all of the future missionaries to help us in the work, showing them the mission is fun and that the work is fun and not easy. I love this gospel and i have really been able to see how much the gospel has helped me open up to the people and be able to talk to them and really get the people to love what we have.. You need to show that the gospel is like a nice cake that they want.. if we dont show that we have something that they dont,, why in the world are they going to want to listen to missionaries. its impossible.. we need to live a higher standard and show the happiness that we have.. I love this gospel and being able to share these things with the people here in my new area in chorrillos.. i still feel new here so that is cool!! Well that was my week and i know this gospel is true,, have a great week i love you all.. and... Happy Birthday Reagan ann!!! i am super happy that you came to our family,, which is the best on earth as you already knew before you came that is why you chose us.. right?? haha HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALSO TO MY FAVORITE SISTER!!!! i am so happy that you are moving home kelli, so that me and justin can help you find somebody special just for you, because we all know the Lord has to have someone super awesome and good for my sister! Family!! So this week was a really solid week, not gonna lie i learned that all of my district has low animos.. animos how can you say that in english.. they are very low on gas.. they arent happy .. i dont know ask justin maybe he has learned how to say that by now..haha but anyway i have been really trying to make things better and get their attitudes up and happy, not sure if it is working or not but i am trying to do all i can.. i feel like its a challenge not because i am sad because i am really happy here. the thing is that there is a missionary from my group that finishes with me and he is super trunky!!! and he is ruining his area faster than i am writing this letter.. it is ridiculous, and he doesnt really listen to me. so i cant get him to work hard happily, because he has the same time that ive got... so that is kinda lame and with him not listening, his companion doesnt do too much either.. but ya i am here working with them.. but the area is going well we were able to put two people with baptismal dates and little by little my companion is seeing that our ward is a good ward.. so that is good.. haha but i love this gospel, i have had to bear my testimony more than normal this week and i know that a testimony is strengthened as we share it more and more. Last Lake Powell

Well Momma Bear!!! So this week i will tell you why i always wanted to come here to chorrillos.. it is a very simple reason.. one because it has the coolest name two because it was like surco.. with cool things such as mcdonalds and good food restaurants and things of that sort.. but it isnt all rich people like surco.. it has people from villa el salvador. but the benefits of surco.. so ya.. that was simple.. and well this week was really good.. my companion is awesome he is from argentina and so he is a che.. haha ask jeff or brian what that is.. i believe they should know.. he is really chill and as i said he is quiet but he is opening up little by little.. and well in the change yes i am still district leader and in my district we have my companion who has 5 months in the mission and then two new gringos that are in training one of them in his first change that got here last week and the other one in his second change.. they are both solid.. one of them is from millford he is cool.. and the other one is from some part of wyoming... a little bit strange.. but he is ok.. about what to expect from a wyoming right?? haha but this week was a good week.. we dont have too many investigators here right now.. i dont know but it seems like we got some work to do with the ward, seeing how my companion who started his mission here doesnt know any of the leaders because his trainer didnt find that important.. so it is kinda like we are starting from nothing. but hey that means we get to search for people and there are a few members that are always willing to help us in the work.. one of which is always there to go and do visits with us.. he is michael and i think he added you guys on facebook to be his friend because he is always with us and he takes pictures that he is going to put on facebook.. he served in bolivia santa cruz in 2006 ish.. he is cool.. but this week should be a really good week and i will let you know how it rolls.. You guys are all the best and hope you have a excelent week on the lake without me.. and i will have an even more excelent time down here in peru, finding people to teach the gospel.Well Enjoy.. a DC just for me.. Goodbye Mala-Hello La Campina

Well Family!!!! So this week as some of you may know by now.. We got to help some doctors treat some patients here in Mala.. it was really cool because we got to do all the translating for the diagnosis´ and things like that to help both sides of the line... it is really strange being able to translate for other people and not gonna lie now i know that it does come in handy.. but it was really weird speaking English with other people who aren't missionaries because i am pretty sure that here in the mission we mostly speak a broken English and when we don't know what to say all we do is say the word we want to in Spanish.. but with the doctors that wasn't so much an option.. haha but it was a great experience and we were able to find some really good new investigators also.. so we really got to do some good work down there... And i guess if you understand that line that i just said you understand that i got changed!!!!! haha that's right i totally just threw in an English something or other.. haha i got changed to the zone of my dreams.. where i have wanted to be since i started the mission but never actually got here.. and now i do get to be here in the zone of Chorrillos.. it is a zone that is in Lima again so that is kinda awesome.. because i love Lima and my time in the south is up.. but my area is called la Campina.. and it is awesome looking.. my companion is Elder Herrera he is from Argentina and he seems like a really chill missionary.. he is quiet so that means that i get to start the conversation but that's all good ain't got no problem with that... haha well i know that the work in Mala will continue and i am excited to be in a ward again that works.. from what people have told me, my ward works hard so i am excited to get to work here!!! it will be legendary for these next two changes.. well that's all for today.. i love this work and really being a part of the lords army.. Happy Birthday

Well Family!! So turns out my birthday was this week.. who knew?? haha well it went really well.. well it went well because i wasn't in my area for Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday.. but hey the end of the week went really well and we were able to have our two baptisms on my birthday and it was really cool and all went perfectly ... if i am lucky i will be sending you some pictures right after i send you this e mail.. it was a really fast week and well we were able to have a leadership training and it was kinda strange because in the middle while were eating lunch president Douglas called me and asked me if i was doing ok.. because he said as he was talking in the meeting he looked at me and felt like he needed to talk to me. and i was actually thinking a lot about my area and so i did want to talk to him because i hadn't been in my area for three days because the zone leaders were trying to tell me that we aren't working and it really bothered me because for the last few weeks as i have been saying we have been working a ton with the less actives and things like this and so according to our indicators they aren't the most incredible numbers but the zls are just trying to give us crap, and so i talked to president to tell him that we are getting attacked by the zls because we are focusing on the branch and he told me.. look i was visiting the districts and i am going to be telling all the zone leaders here next week and i have been preparing to tell them to do exactly what your doing in Mala.. and he told me not to worry and to keep working with the less actives because we need them to be stronger. and it made me feel a whole lot better and i know that the spirit tells us what we need to hear and that the lord will have other people help us through our problems if we are having them.. i know the spirit is the comforter.. and that he is always there for us.. I love this gospel and thanks to this experience and the baptisms this week was a great week and i am so happy to be here in the mission, and i cant believe that Elder Moore is finishing this week.. i love that kid he is so awesome.. and i know that he has made these two years legen,,,, wait for it.... dary... Birthday Week!

What it is.. So family this week was awesome!!! We were able to visit a whole bunch of members because we are really trying to work on getting the branch back to what is should be at right... like last week if you remember there were 87 people and after much work this week we were able to visit a whole bunch of families from the ward some of which have been coming to church in these weeks, and others which have not been.. so we were able to go and find a family that lives like 10 minutes out of mala that is a family of 7 that all of which are members except the dad and we started teaching them a little bit in the week and on saturday we went and told them that we could send a member to go and pick them up in his bus and the dad who isnt member....yet.... said no we will go on our own dont worry.. and guess what... they got there at 850.. so not only they got there, but they got there early!! THAT NEVER HAPPENS IN PERU!!! not kidding it doesnt work to be early on peruvian standard time.... so the dad isnt member because well he said he hasnt felt a response but we might be getting somewhere because in the time when his family got baptized 8 months ago he never went to church but yesterday after one week of visiting him and his family again they all came.. how sweet is that!! i know.. super sweet.. also this week we were visiting two other families that were able to come to church and so that was really cool also because we were able to have a total of 112 people in our super little church... i know we are awesome!! I cant believe how fast this week passed to be honest i feel like i was here yesterday.. and today we are going to go down to my old stomping ground in chincha to play soccer against them... and bonus point elder hernandez is in my old area in chincha which makes it even cooler to go back there..so ya i dont know what else to say really.. well one more thing is that carolina and yamile are going to be getting baptized on saturday which will be really cool.. they are both super awesome and have passed many trials in their lives so it is even more fun to see good things happening to them.. and yes for the few that remember that is my birthday..and yes for the fewer that remember that is the day that i got baptized thirteen years ago in lake powell.. so it will be cool to have a baptism that day.. i am excited.. Well i know this work is true and that when we work with the members everything changes in missionary work.. we only have 8 investigators but we are helping build the foundations of the branch here for the future missionaries..but it will all be worth it.. I love this place and the people that i know.. this mission is the best and i have learned so much being out here and participating in the work of the lord as president monson said in his talk last conferance.and i know that we can all be a part of this work.. Well family another week down.. This week went by really fast..haha for reals i dont know why but now time seems to be going a whole lot faster instead of slower... i think it is like a basketball game the fourth quarter always goes by fast until the last two minutes..haha but this week was a good week.. we were able to share a lot with hna carolina who has all of her family problems and we are working on helping her calm her life down and it seems to be working,, really well.. the gospel really does work miracles and i love this place in mala.. it was kinda sad though because after two weeks of going up in attendance we went back down to 84... so that was kinda lame.. but hey we have really been trying with the branch and it is incredible that we are keeping up with more than 80.. so we are happy about that but we really do want to get these people where they should be..and it just so happens that the week we drop down a little bit President Douglas came and gave the branch a surprise visit and then told all the branch that the gospel is simple and that we need to help our brothers and sisters learn that it is simple and that satan is in the complicated things and so if something is complicated its because satan is getting involved.. and another quote i heard is that satan never rests, so we being better then him shouldnt need to rest either.. haha i liked both of those quotes when i heard them.. but it was a pretty normal week we have really been visiting the members alot and we will see if that helps the branch out.. sorry this is surely a boring letter.. but i love this work and being here in the mission it is the bomb learning and growing as a person and really getting to know the gospel. I know that this is the true church and that joseph smith translated the book of mormon and that it is a true book.. i love reading it and growing as a person and learning what i should do through the prophets that wrote it.. and the prophets in our days. you are all the best and hope that you are reading the book of mormon and praying for help at all times.. to teach and to avoid the complicated.. Well family this week was something interesting no gonna lie.. we have gone full focus in the members of the branch here in mala..it is kinda interesting.. in the branch they have baptized 33 people last year and well 2 of which are active... so ya we have some work to do.. we kinda put a hold on baptizing for this week and for a couple weeks to come.. we are going to build a foundation for our converts not just baptize them just for the heck of it.. the good news is,, hna susana my convert from last month is the 2nd counselor in r.s. and Elmer is 1st counselor in young mens and pres of the young adults... haha so that is fun.. my converts are some the strongest ones here.. AWESOME... haha.. so not too much to say because the investigator pool is going down but the member pool is going up... interesting how that works. two weeks ago we had 73 people in church... last week 93 and this week 104 ... haha we are working!! I love this place and we have a goal to help them get a chapel built here seeing how we are in our house church thing..but we have chance we just need to get more people in the church!! that's what we are doing now.. anyway the work is rolling and we are getting more awesome... I love this work and i know that we can help the less active members come back to church.. they are children of god that have already accepted the gospel all we need to do is help them remember why.. and they are as good as gold.. you may not need to baptize them again but you will have the same affect on them if you help them come back.. the mission is awesome. i love you all so much...

Well Family... So there goes another week where we got to teach some really good lessons, and we are working really hard with our investigators who really want to progress, we have the hna Carolina and her daughter yamile and they are both really cool but they have had so many trials in life it just isn't fair... to be honest in this area i have met a whole bunch of people that are just trialed in life, and none of them have much desire to even live.. hna Carolina for example, she has three daughters and when her third daughter was born, which is hna yamile, her husband went off with another lady and they moved to Brazil and left the family just poor and alone, and then when hna Carolina oldest daughter turned 25 she had had 3 kids and then when she was 26 she decided she didn't want them so she left them at her moms house and left without telling anyone where she was going and they haven't seen or heard from her since.... so now hna Carolina is taking care of her 3 grand kids and all these people alone.. it is ridiculous and so ya i have really learned that the challenges in my life aren't anything, and that i really have received many blessings with the gospel in my life and i love all of the people that have ever helped me understand and live these teachings because i know now that life without the truth is just not fun and is just scary... i love you all so much and sorry if this isn't super awesome but i love this gospel and appreciate life so much more now than i ever have.i have known two people in the last six months that have tried to commit suicide recently... so ya just remember that if you have trials they are to make you grow, and improve as a child of god. Transfer day--New Comp. Elder Guzman

What it is!!! Well family this week was actually really good. We were able to baptize hno elmers brother and his mom, and another one of our investigators so that was awesome! Hno elmer baptized his mom so that was a really good experience for him. It was really good we had some really good lessons and we found some great new people to teach in this week. We found three new families but we still havent been able to teach the whole family together so that is what we are working on. I got a new companion this change,!! i am happy not going to lie.. i didnt get along bad with my companion elder lopez but it wasnt very happy and fun like it has been in the past, but i know my companion and i have known him since we started, his name is elder guzman and he is another peruvian companion which is awesome.. and well that is pretty much all for this week sorry this is a short letter but i hope you all know that i love you and that you are all the best and i know that this is the best time in the world and i love the mission..i will have a great week and hope that you guys do too.. Couple day of the flu!

Well family this one is going to be really quick... This week was kinda lame me and my comp both got hit with the flu but for me no big deal just keep rolling with my two mottoes... i don't get sick i only get more awesome... and fight on.....but my companion on the other hand reminds me of someone i used to know that every time she got sick it was like the world was ending and she couldn't do anything... that was my companion this week.. haha we didn't leave the room for two days because he wanted to stay in bed and called the office and was exaggerating his symptoms and i was like yup those are the symptoms of the flu,, but whatever..haha so we found two people this week but we will see if they progress.. and Elmer's family is doing well but his 13 year old sister is putting up a wall like she has problems with what we teach.. but she wont tell us what.. so we are trying to work with her.. I love this mission and i know that my faith has grown just being here and learning more about the scriptures. I love how the scriptures explain so perfectly the atonement of Christ. Just remember at all times that Christ suffered for EVERYTHING... not just our sins or the wrong things we do but EVERYTHING, he suffered our sorrows, our pain, our sicknesses, AND THE LIST GOES ON TO EVERYTHING. He is our Savior we can rely on him in every difficulty that we pass. I know that life is a roller coaster and that it just keeps on going and there will always be ups and downs so if we are in a down we can only go back up.. hahaha i love you all so much and i love the support that you all give me on a weekly rate.. have a great week and i will too. Zone Conference and last meeting with President Manning

Well folks there goes one more.... So this week was full of interesting stuff.. so we have some really good investigators, i would just like to share one of those stories really quickly, so we were visiting with our investigator Indira, she is 17 years old and she moved to Mala with her 14 year old sister a year or so back because her step dad tried to do something very wrong with her little sister so to protect her sister she came here... not to mention that her mom wasn't even upset with her new husband so she is still with him in Lima, anyways we were meeting with hna Indira and she told us that her mom told her that she will not break the family chain of Catholicism.. who know how to spell that, and then told her that she couldn't listen to us, and then hit her, and then says other things to ruin this girls life, and then this girl told her mom that she is going to do what God wants her to do. And then she came to the lesson we had with her and then after she went and was with her cousin and a christian guy came and started talking to them and he asked her what church she went to and she said well 'm not baptized in any church but I am going to be baptized in the Mormon church then the guy got all angry and was like why would you do that?? and then he was like don't you know that Mormon means enter the gates of hell?? and she thought to herself,, how could it have to do with that if all they talk to me about is knowing the truth of how much God loves me.. and so she left him there... haha that was awesome. unfortunately on Saturday her mom and step-dad came down and told her again that she couldn't listen to us and then they took her to Lima and every time we have called her her step-dad answers and says she isn't there.. so we are scared for her because she is super awesome but has so many challenges in her life right now it is really hard for her to progress but we know she can.. she has so much faith and just wants to follow the truth. To be honest that was our week, we have the family of hno Elmer and they are all a lot closer to being baptized here on the 23. they are all awesome and they all have some really good questions and hno Elmer is the bomb, he is there trying to help them but when he doesn't know the answer they ask us... i am pretty sure here in a year or so Elmer will be heading out on the mission.. he is so boss.. it is hilarious.. I love this area and all of the people that i have had the chance to know here in Mala.. i would love to stay here until the end of my mission to get to see all of these people progress and know the truth and get to accept it and be baptized in the truth. I love this gospel and all that we get to share with the people. I know that the spirit really does guide us when we depend on him! God does love each one of his children and pleads them to just be obedient so that he can bless them.. he will bless us when we are obedient but when we aren't we don't have any promise... its as simple as that.. the gospel isn't complex its simple so that a little child can understand it....
